How to earn gems? Sheep with coin?

I'm sure this answer is somewhere but I can't find it. How do we earn gems? And is there a sheep that you can buy eventually with coins not gems? Thanks.

You can get gems from Adventures and from certain goals. Currently, there are no sheep that can be bought with coins.
