Who hates timed levels?

I got to the 2nd area and I'm on level 12. I can't pass it now. I wasn't even going to download this game. I just wanted the gems!

They're not my favourite levels. The stress levels start to rise when the time starts flashing red and I seem to go slower. However I feel so good when I do finally beat them.

ME!!!!!!!

I just cannot think that fast!! LOL

I'd hate them a little less if I got energy more frequently to beat them!

OMG! I'm so glad someone started this thread. Those timed games are awful! I'm one of those people who don't think fast- Im one of those think of a real snappy comeback about a half an hour after the conversation ended type of people. And inevitably someone at home needs something NOW the minute I get one of those started.
UGH!

I wouldn't mind the timed games if they had a bit more time. I've gotten past a lot of them but it was more due to luck than skill. I never go back to play them again either, and I've gotten 3 stars in a lot of the others. In my opinion, non timed games are for fun, timed are obstacles to other fun levels. I'm on 52 and its not fun :P

No I'm stuck on level 36 I run out of time before I get to dig down 9 levels to pass

I don't mind, it's just another way to play the game.

I don't like timed levels. Seriously, a minute? And it takes an hour to get 1 energy, and the max is 5!

Timed levels are so hard... I freeze up...oh darn!

Very interesting. For me, the timed levels are a gift. They are so much easier than all of the others.

Voted NO ! If I would like to play against the time I would play a FreaCkin Car Racing game 😝

I can't get past level 36 because of the timer. If only I had 30 extra seconds.

I dont timed levels. I hate having to wait for energy so I can play. It will probably go the way bubble mania did and will hardly ever play. I dont even remember the last time displayed bubble mania was. Jewel mania will be the same.

I think timed levels are usually the easy ones to get through, but right now I'm stuck on level 52 because it's a 1 minute timed level; yet the bocking stairs makes it even more difficult! God, someone help me lol

I like them.

It adds something special to the game :D

I don't like them it's easier 2 just plan out what u r gonna do but sometimes I take a screenshot then go 2 pictures and find a few moves

I don't like the timed levels because my brain is distracted by the clock & gets stressed out. I don't do my Springbok 550-piece puzzles on a speed-clock; if it was necessary to finish the puzzle, I would just give up (like I'm about to do on Level 36).

Not fun when it's ridiculously too hard compared to other levels.

Need to do more user testing and calibrating difficulty TL, or at least listen to fans (lol)

I don't mind either, but I hate the glass ones! 😓I can never break them all in the moves required. 😖Timed ones are fine as long as they are reasonable times. For example, a minute to get like 100,000 points is not reasonable.

I hate timed levels...I feel my blood pressure go up. I don't see myself passing the goals because of them :(

i don't like either. brain and finger cannot think and tap soooooooo fast.

I like them because it makes the game more exciting, and just a small frisson of adrenalin kicks in. I'd like them better if either we could collect more than five energy or it took less than an hour to fill up. I'm slightly stuck at 58, but this too shall pass.

Oh wow, I was just having this discussion with my sister over the weekend. I LOVE the timed levels and my she hates them. The timer reminds me of another game that shall go unmentioned that I play all the time. I do find them way easier than the breaking glass levels.

I've been stuck on this for ages so over it, think its luck sometimes only a few moves available which mucks up the whole game Adele

I agree. I would still hate them but I would be less ticked off about using so much energy if the energy was refilled faster

I've been stuck on level 52 for weeks , keep persisting to get gems in bakery story 😁

I was so stuck on lvl 52. But miraculously I got 2 diamonds and passed by 100 points :D But I do hate timed levels...

Yes!! I've been on level 52 for a month! I've even gone to other levels to earn enough coins for the 39k boost but did terrible. Even if you buy gold it's a waste of money. Timed levels on this game is all luck - not skill.

games are supposed to be fun. timing the levels makes them stressful, therefore, not fun. I stopped playing at level 36, after trying for days to get past it.

I love the timed levels! I usually get 3 stars on my first try with them 

They get on my nerves since I have only five energy!

I love timed levels, I honestly wish they were all timed. Times levels are really the only test of skill in the game, with all the other levels the game depends mostly on the luck of the draw...but with timed levels you have a lot more control over your outcome.

I hate them.. Especially level 72... I had several days try my luck..
Until, fortunately, the update added more level's time (2 stars now)...
But I understand: timed levels need to be there, for challenge purpose.. :)

Stuck on 99 for the first time i got the feeling i will never going to pass this one... Time is way to short!!

I don't mind them when they "feel" passable, but these later boards (96 in particular) were rough.

I hate timed levels! Takes so much energy to pass. I just completed level 68 in time, over 115,000 points and it told me goal achieved, then promptly brought up level failed!! Not first time either-i beat level 67 & it crashed failing me on re-opening game!! Not happy as level 68 has taken me 10 days so far and now Im back to square one! What's going on?? Not fair!!

Timed levels are the reason why I'll try to reach 10th island for gems and then delete this game.

I personally find timed levels way easier than turn levels because you can just go crazy at it. I always find the levels that have tricky jewel types like the ones in 109 to be super difficult with the amount of turns they give you. >_>

Phaedrakiki
04-24-13, 05:03 PM
... but they do add variety & excitement to (though sometimes just hatred of!) the game. When I click on a new level, and it's timed, I usually groan or mutter (something children shouldn't hear.) And when the time is super-short or doom jewels are involved, I get so stressed it's unhealthy, lol! I much prefer turn-based levels, where you can strategize carefully. This thread & poll show I'm in the majority, though there certainly are timed-level fans! I just wish there were fewer timed levels per island (instead of half of them, like on Pastry Plains.) I'm currently stuck on 99 (2 days--5 x 5 energies,) though luckily it's not as stressful as 96 was. That level got the ol' heart pumping (& curses spewing!) I gotta say, though...it feels pretty cool to pass a timed level. Unless you've been stuck there too long. Then it's rather anti-climactic. More like "Finally!!!" & "Why the heck did I waste all that time, hmm? Playing should be fun!"
