Vanishing gems

I seem to have gems vanishing one at a tme. Had 6 when I last looked last night. This morning got into game and there were 5. Started some items preparing. Came back in later and only 4 gems. Same scenario again just now, now down to 3 gems. I haven't purchased any items costing 1 gem. Has anyone else seen this happening?

I also am having the same problem! I'm trying to save up, but they are constantly disappearing! Not fair for anyone saving up gems for something if the game is stealing them!
