Gold egg if eggs are full?

Are you still able to get the golden egg if your eggs are full? I keep using them in recipes, but with tending the chickens so much, it keeps filling up.

I got mine from the hatchery while being full on eggs ans roasted chicken :D

I finally just got my Golden Egg from the Hatchery so I've put my chickens away. My eggs were full when I got my golden one, so it doesn't matter if you're full or not.
