Disappearing logs

My completed building logs disappear soon after completing the total goal. This has happened three times during building Ivy's house and needing only glimmer dust to complete. It has also happened during working on items for expansions, and my completed lanterns have disappeared. Let me add that I did NOT use the missing items in other buildings. I have written a letter to support regarding this problem and awaiting a response.
