Sir Pigglesworth - Golden Apple, Nugget and Egg.

Hi all,
Do I need to have a Pig to help find the Golden Apple, Golden Nugget and Golden Egg?
Or will the appear randomly when I collect from buildings or something?
I've searched the forum for the info but can't seem to find anything. :|

I got a golden nugget from mining the dark cave formation. Have not found other two yet.
