Hi Castle Story players,

We are working hard on a content update, but unfortunately it won't be ready until early next week. (I'm really hoping for Tuesday!) I hope you'll accept an apology for my earlier optimism about the date, and a gift- some images from the update!

I noticed there's a difference of about 5000 gems and 200,000 gold between the 1st and 2nd images, is this a realistic indication of the amount of gems and gold it can take (or translated into how much time it could potentially take) to achieve?

Those are just values from the test server.. Don't take them as any kind of indication on costs of anything.

After the update I solumnly swear to play reasonably and fold towels again instead of throwing them in a pile on the towel rack.
I even packed the nick nacks away so I don't have to dust them!

I'm going to cry....I'd worked hard and ignored work for only two days a week to build a lovely kingdom. Only to lose it when I transferred my android games to iPad. I'm back to the beginning and its boring, but if I have new content, especially fruit trees to look forward to, so be it.

They went up to make up for the "free" expansions. There's been no word about anymore "free" expansions so you should be right waiting for the update. (I take no responsibility though if TL does change the requirements).

This is true, but know that you can earn all of them from doing adventures, which do not cost gems at all :)

He's a knight. I think he got attacked by trolls. I think after we clothe him we'll need to get him armour and a sword. I think he will then let us expand to the Troll King's Lair. at some stage we'll have to build him his fort.

I think they are rare drops.... I think from mining, collecting from chickens and the tree will probably need to be an apple tree which can be gotten as a rare reward from the adventures or bought for 90 gems.

Maguar, have you seen where we make excalibam the enchanted blade, I would have thought it should be listed under the long sword.

If it's like a lot of goal related items (magic ink, magic pages etc) it will only appear when we have the goal to craft it.

Collect from cows too! Under the goal description, it says it's a rare drop from both animals.

Received 3 goals after harvesting the Magic Garden (Ivy's experiment). I'm not sure what was the first goal and its requirement since I seems to have it all and I'm immediately rewarded. For the second one, they asked for 30 cabbages and now I'm on the third one which is to brew the Magic Extract at the Potion Shop which I have yet to craft 5 Purple Ink before I can brew the Magic Extract. Brewing the Magic Extract will take 30 seconds only but crafting the Purple ink took a while.. since I don't have it ready and I only have few purple petals in my inventory.. Sigh.. And the reward is $500 and 1xp. And I can’t wait to complete the goal since the upper notes states “All the Glimmer Wood will be revealed!” I hope I’ll be able to find lots and lots of Glimmer Dust there..

Bought the apple tree and grew it. Once I collected from it, received a new goal to bake 2 apple pies. Reward is 2 gems and 5 xp. Going to take awhile since you need 10 apples per pie, 2 sugar, 1 flour. Oh and you can only collect from your apple tree once every 3 hours.

I just got my second glimmer troll, but typically he arrived as my energy ran out. Will have to wait awhile before I find out if he is the pants-thief!!

You have to be level 15+ with the enchanted sword. They like coin and resource buildings (not animals) and mushrooms. They have also been spotted around crops.

But as a king I am obviously an egotistical micro-managing control freak because not only do I do all the gardening, crafting, brewing, cooking and foraging in this kingdom..... I let my new knight sit in the tavern drinking while I construct the new Ballista etc he needs to defeat the Troll King who he swore to defeat.... Wow..being a King is hard work hehe

After finding the knights armour...need to build him a house (needed 3x builders paste, royal beam, royal block and something else).... Then craft excalibam....(main ingredient is Mythril.. Found after talking to Thomas and sending knights on a 24 hr treasure hunt...the castle quest needing the spicy Meal) .... Then 12 or so wisp lanterns and 100 k in coins.... Expand to the troll kings lair.... And... Ready to hunker down and battle him for a minute....wait an hour...battle again...wait an hour.... Etc.. Etc... :-)

They turn up mostly for me when collecting from royal buildings, collecting from the sparkling mine, mining, collecting from mushrooms

You need to be at least 15, have expanded to Thurston and warmed him up, built the magic forge and crafted the enchanted blade. When you've done that they tend to appear when collecting from count buildings, resource buildings (not animal ones), mushrooms, mining rocks and as I've just discovered today, they like cabbages.

The trees are VERY RARE drops from Adventures.
"Search the Ancient Vaults" might net you an Orange Tree.
"Hunt Roaming Bandits" might net you a Lemon Tree.
"Explore Dark Caves" might net you an Apple Tree.

It's just a very rare drop...unless you want to pay gems to skip whatever requirement you're trying to meet, there's nothing you can really do except keep trying.
