Help, Oh Darn message

I am playing version 1.6.1 and since yesterday afternoon I have had the oh darn message or it says processing. I have turned my phone on and off and it let me on long enough to leave a message on my wall to my neighbors and then the Oh Darn message came back. Help

Do you close out the background apps? Double tap the home button, and when the screen rises up, press and hold an app until it starts shaking, then press the minus sign.

If that still doesn't help, try deleting and reinstalling the game (your progress is saved).
