So for Christmas im getting an upgrade on my kindle fire. Will my storm8 id transfer over or will I have to start over?

Make sure you read the directions in the forum for changing devices. There are several posts about it. Dont log in with your storm 8 id until you have completed the steps or it will set your device up with a new island (starting from scratch) and then you wont be able to change it.
