Cross breeding/lab question

Hi everyone:

I successfully crossbred my first mammoth, and as far as I can tell I've got the coins for cross breeding the 2nd, but the lab won't let me do it..... The "Crossbreed" button stays inactive once I've picked my animals.

Can I only use the lab once a day or something?

I am having the same problem. I just crossbred a mammoth and it won't let me breed another!
I definitely have the coins but when I choose the elephant and polar bear the breed button is greyed out.
I would really appreciate if someone could send us some info on this...��

I recently attempted to crossbreed for a "goal" (bear & kangaroo) and when I entered both animals it asked for GEMS!? Why? I'm confused if this is a "goal" required why would we have to use "Gems" to accomplish it when the reward is nowhere near the same cost ratio as a Gem.

Can anyone please help? I am not a level seeker as much as a "goal" driven player and this will drive me crazy; as I do not usually spend hard earned cash on games that are meant to be something as relaxing and for entertainment value.

The "goal" is called "Criss Cross". I am level 18.
