Um TL.... Where exactly should I be putting a welcome mat? In front of the door, right? Oh except now no one can get in! lol doesn't make the customers feel very welcome at all ;)

I am also going to move this to the RS bugs and feedback forum.

When I purchased it I figured it wouldn't be able to be used properly, since nothing from the floor tab can be placed in front of doors, podium, in aisles.........................

Sad though, as it's cute and I would LOVE to be able to have it in front of the doors. :(

I had to move mine as well. I figured if TL ever made a rug or floor mat it would be counted as a true decoration and the people would have to walk around it. I was hoping TL would've found out a way to have the customers walk over it.

All they have to do is make it a floor tile. Let's see how long it takes them to figure that out.

They shouldn't even have to do that. In Home Design they're able to have floor mats and rugs that people can walk on, so they should be able to code that into RS as well. :o

That's a bad habit you've got there.

Fixing this might take a while. Its probably easier to rename it to an "Unwelcome Mat"

Thank you for reporting the issue with the Autumn Mat. We do realize that it is a floor decoration, and in our TeamLava games (with the exception of Home Design), yes, floor decorations cannot be placed in front of the doors or registers. I have let the team know of these feedback with the new decoration in Restaurant Story. In the meantime, please do not place the Autumn Mat near the door or register.

Thanks again! :)

Please fix.. It doesn't look good anywhere else but right at the door and now that it's moved a step back people keep having to walk around it and I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF.

But seriously... please fix ;)

Does anyone else think it's strange that if you place the Thanksgiving Welcome Mat in front of your door, it blocks the door and no customers can enter.

bigbux3

The game recognizes it as a decoration, which you customers walk around. The mat doesn't have the capability to be walked on like in Home Design.

really, TL should make it passable, as people will naturally place it at their door.

It's an un-welcome mat :p

I agree

It is more natural to use this mat to block the door than using table, chair and other floor decoration.

I put my mat in front of my favorite oven. It looks nice there. See: http://postimage.org/image/5f60mrzkv/

Move the mat away from your door. It will block the door and prevent customers from coming in.

(responded to you also on this thread http://forums.teamlava.com/showthread.php?39718-Still-no-or-VERY-ANGRY-customers.&p=453291&viewfull=1#post453291)

I just about went crazy trying to figure out why customers weren't coming in the door. Moved my mat. Everything ok now.

My game Avatar, my host, is missing from my game and as a result, I think, there are no customers coming to my restaurant. Anyone has any clue on what could be the issue. I am playing this game on iPhone. I am also playing another game, Bakery Story, and it works completely fine.
Thanks !!

If you placed the Welcome Mat in front of the door or hostess podium, move it. It acts like any other floor decoration and blocks your customers, it does not act like a Mat that can be walked on.

I sat the mat down as one of the goals. I noticed yesterday afternoon that most of my plates had the same quantities left, which was weird! Then I noticed I wasn't earning any cash! Then I zoomed in the direction of my door and no customers were coming in! 0___o I'm thinking to myself "what the heck is going on!" Then I remembered I saw this thread about the mat keeping customers out. Lol *facepalm* who knows how much money I missed out on!

I'm having the same problem. but, it's not that they're stuck. There just aren't any. I have recently redecorated but I don't think anything is blocking customers from entering.
