Not receiving gifts

I have had several people try to send me gifts (fur) but they are getting an error saying I have received the maximum number of gifts. I have received 1 gift since I started playing this game 2 days ago? Any ideas?

You can only send out three gifts per day, so after your neighbor has already sent their three gifts, if they try to send any more, they will get this message.

I think Fur is also one of the gifts that can only be sent out to 1 or 2 people, so even if they haven't sent out 3 gifts, if they've sent out 1 or 2 Fur's they won't be able to send one to you as well. :(

Gifts that have lower maxes: jewels (1), fur (2), silver ore (2). If they've already sent the max of these but still have the gift button next to your name, they just need to choose a different gift.
