is it normal for the window windows in the game not to be see through

i'm seeing the wall through the snowy window i bought (like the wall is in the way so you see wallpaper when glancing at the window not the outside) is that normal? whats the point in having a window if it doest have a outside view its just like a window frame you cant see the outside from it just the wall.
