I just started playing a month ago, and kind of really started enjoying it. I have forgone creativity at this point for raw earning potential. I am not at my max 23 habitats yet as I find it tough to keep pace. Compared to most every player around my level I am blowing them away in earnings. I havent bought gold yet, but I am about to. Let me know what you think, and any suggestions for improving.

keep the small farms for a while and stop evolving so many of the same type dragons it's a waste of food. you will soon have to get rid of them to make room for others and you never get that food back.
