Nothing has been said yet, but I will check to see if the CMs have any timeframe.
I am currently trying to master these halloween crops because I am pretty sure they will be removed at some time.
Note: If you have to choose between crops and trees, do the crops first.
As long as you have already bought any of the trees and have them out or in your storage, you will still be able to master them even thought the option to buy new ones is removed.
You will just not be able to see your mastery bar.

No, the rewards are the same for each crop or tree.
