Just got a Phoenix first try! Cross that one off too! I'm noticing a trend... Every time I have been trying for a long time for a specific monster and just getting common ones, when I switch to try to get a different one, I get it the first try... Probably just a coincidence.

Well... if you don't like them, then don't keep them. :) I guess the only reason to keep them is because they produce the most coins amongst the rest of the monsters.

May I say, that hermit cat is so darn elusive. It was the last Monster I got, and I tried forever!!!!
I only have the one, I'd really love to have a baby hermit cat but I'm not holding my breath for it

Im down to just the diamond and its hybrids :-( for the hermit cat i used cuddle crab/shell to get it. I got the sea rex third try with medusasaur/blob. I found the hard ones to get its sometimes easier to use a hybrid/common to get them. So now im just leveling to epic and breeding for diamonds... Sigh.

I think you can breed it if it's still in the market...I don't remember then being limited like in DS.

On the reference thread it says gobbledegoo and frankenogre are LEs. I guess as long as it's in the market it can still be bred. I hope that's right anyway.

I'd say try for them. They are still in my market as well. I guess they assumed they were LE because of Dragon Story.

Maybe they've left Gobbledegoo and Frankenogre longer since they haven't released as many monsters as they have in DS. I got a Frankenogre shortly after it was released and it was out like a month before Pumpkinhead and Gobbledegoo. I'm getting an island full of Griffins and Phoenixes trying for it. Pumpkinhead isn't marked limited so I can always go back to it later.

Update! Got my shellwing today, FINALLY!! I used eaguana and mosstrich. Also got ruby manticore (after sooo many tries) and king clam while trying for yuleski, which i also finally managed to get.
Now I only need the firestorm bird (I'm so sick of griffins!!) and forest scarab.

i recently got the forest scarab too. i used shell with either inferoo or leaf lion because i was trying for either forest scarab or the hermit cat. i can't remember which one exactly because i kept switching back and forth, but it took a few tries. i was using shell and tree rex tons and tons of times before i started using the above combo. i also got it 1st try with the cuddle crab/ruby manticore after many other combos. i am only getting these rare shell hybrids now because i was waiting to try for them when the super rare hybrid versions came out. but this game is too slow to update, and i had nothing else to breed. i already have 2 diamond pegasuses, so now i'm going for a 3rd. lol

It's funny, I got the Sea Slime trying for the 500th time for a Yulesky and didn't even know it existed since it had come out that very day and I missed the pop up, if there was one. I was super confused when I saw the breeding time, lol.

I've bred blue and white more than any other combo. I got king clam once, sea slime once, and about a million tongue toads. I can't wait to get a Yulesky and be done with it.

It's funny, I got the Sea Slime trying for the 500th time for a Yulesky and didn't even know it existed since it had come out that very day and I missed the pop up, if there was one. I was super confused when I saw the breeding time, lol.

Getting that Hermit breed time is the worst!

There are three breed times that I feel the devs are particularly sadistic for including.

Hermit cat, Mosstrich and Griffin. Griffin is the worst. 18 hours for the basic result?!

To me, the most annoying one is Medusasaur, takes 18 hrs to breed and I got like 10+, sold 2 or 3 when I got the new rares to free the slot.
the second annoying one is Frankenogre, after selling some, I still have 6. =_=
Now, I am sick of cuddlecrab but I wanna get Magmadillo.
Except Magmadillo, I am still missing the diamond series.

Wife has been trying for Yulesky for 2 months, finally got the timer last night. I got the timer for a Yulesky as well. Both got it within 24 hours of each other hehe. I only tried about 15 times or so... she's probably done 30+. She got it with 2 King Clams and I got it with Blue Blob + Tonguetoad.

@t0tt3 just keep calm and breed green with yellow, you'll get it eventually, if I'm not mistaken it has 8 hours breed time.

As for me, where is my friggin magmadillo?! Do I need to sacrifice a lava pit to get one?

you can still breed it. I just bred one trying for my second diamond with topaz & burnbark

My daughter was poking on my phone and I figured that I should burn through my gold going for my last monster because she'd probably end up buying something on accident. Had about 385 Gold, 5 hours left on my timer, I got down to my final try and got the 32 hour timer.... Pearl Platypus. I got them all now.... YAY? Got about 5 - 8 monsters to evolve to level 10, lots of places to expand but that's it.... now I play the "wait the the update that will never come " game.

I have the rest of the bottom island to expand to but can't be bothered asking for maps. I am just using the one time I check Into the game to gift gold, accept requests and collect coins. After trying over five hundred times (or seems like more) i finally for magmadillo. I just bred for another platypus but don't care anymore.

They could have fixed this game up, but they are too busy smashing things together on dragon.
