Me too!! I was beginning to wonder it I was crazy and my city wasn't actually dark 24/7!! Lol good to know I'm sane, sad to know it is always dark. :(

Too many gem decorations for my taste. However I do prefer the halloween tune over the regular daytime tune, so I'm sticking with it XD (I prefer regular night tune the most though...)

Would like to know the following:
How come some people have low population but are in higher levels?

Request from neighbors, you never get your last one ( wire, contract, lights etc. is the game program for this? Want us to use gems for the last missing material. Got to say I have already wasted way to much cash on this game already. Very disappointing because the game is dragging to much.

Some prefer staying at 1100 or around as that's the max for the 6 factories...as well as the fact that when you cross 6-8k pop, the game lags a bit.
Charville with 15k pop lost access to his account for weeks before he got in, intermittently. He finally got his city down to less than 8k iirc.

As for spending gems, don't. Just log in every two hours 10 times a day, while u are at work or school to take a break and spend five mins on the game.
As for missing parts, that's team lava's way of slowing things down so you dont finish everything and stop playing in 3 weeks.
Turns out they do lose some because of the slow pace, but they do strech out some other players in playing for longer.
Me for eg.... Have been much longer than the three days I originally thought.
Might end up buying more gens, but not till they reduce their prices by Atleast 70-80%.
