Not getting credit for an expansion

I am trying to complete a task where i had to "expand to the dawn tree" , so i bought the expansion right next to the dawn tree, have even cleared debris, but the game has not given me credit for the expansion!
Also, when do i start being able to buy the temples or whatever they are they give me a boost of coin when i collect?

After you complete the second expanion by the dawn tree, then you should get a new goal to get the boost buildings.

You have to do a second expansion that worked for me.
