Help me, I'm so frustrated!

Okay, I got the expansions. NOW.., I can't figure out how to get walls and a floor,and the doorways that connect the new room to the rest of the house,etc.
my new furniture is sitting on the grass!
There is a lot to this game apparently that is not explained in the help section.
When I check out others in the community, their homes are great. How did they know how to add these room sect.
Please help me.

Do you mean, you need help moving the entire room?

Once you expand, you will have grass. You then need to buy a room from the store(or pull one out of your storage )and place it over the newly expanded area.
