Hi everyone, I just wanted to know how much people have been earning since last month and whether bakery story is worth playing anymore. I'm not convinced the changes has promoted gameplay longevity. Note: This is not another thread about how much the changes suck (although I agree with you!!). I just want people to see and evaluate for themselves if bakery story is worth playing given the economic trend.

Sept 10ish- Oct 12th. How much have you earned?
THANKS!

Does anyone know the total cost of the Halloween goals?

This is my bakery BEFORE (http://forums.teamlava.com/showthread.php?19659-Show-off-Your-Bakery&p=401138&viewfull=1#post401138) (15/9) and AFTER (http://i45.tinypic.com/20p3n12.png) (13/10) the Halloween goals.

Including ;

Mummycake 4,180k x83
Spider brownies 5,480k x83

Witches Cauldron 31k x10
Coffin Drink Machine 34k x9

Mummy Cake 94k

+ 3 goals. (skipped the Monstrous Appetites)
~ And i never stop baking11

As you can see, the difference is only -600k. so..
Its not really that bad i guess, Of course, It could be better... But it could also be worst?

Just before the price hike, I had 12,500,000 coins....today I stand at 13,300,000

Of course this is after the cost of new machines, Halloween goals, and some decorations. The only reason I have made money is because I stopped baking for the past three days and that has allowed me to make profit; however, when I bake, my overall coin count stays pretty steady

On 9/7 when I closed down my BS I had almost 11 million coins. I've only purchased a few white tables/chairs to get by Goals for gems by downloading other TL Games. I haven't purchased ANY of the new decor nor have I done the Halloween Goals. I check into my game 2 times a day, once in the AM and once in the PM, just to see if anymore counters have cleared that I can store. As of right now by coins are 17.6 million, so I've made a little over 6 million by not doing anything but checking in daily in the past month.

If I had been baking I wouldn't be making anything, I'd be losing money, since my food is selling so darn slow. I still have well over a million plates of food on my counters. :(

Oh no :( I wish there was still a way to clear counters quickly.

I stopped baking and tipping after the price increase and earned 3M coins. Then I started baking again after probably about a week. I did the halloween goals and am now finishing off the recipes on 9 of each of the special appliances. My coins count has stayed about the same since finishing the goals and only making the halloween recipes. I am up about 1.2M coins since the price hike.

Hey look, the data is starting to look like a normal curve! I know we have insufficient data, but it appears TL wants us to be stuck around no net gain. If we have more data, I can whip out my stats.

Okay those that are making money is because they had tons of food in counters and now aren't baking just selling off

But right now if I would do that I would not gain much since I only have a little more of 3 mil coins of food on counters so that won't help much lol

My next expansion is 30 mil I think I'm not even 1/3 there

Never going to stop baking. Earned about 1 MILL since price hike. level 40 expansion is 10mill.

Because of buying counters and stuff for the Halloween goals, I've lost more than $2million. When I found out about the price hike I stopped baking and just let my things sell out (but my counters are still surprisingly full) but now I'm doing the Halloween recipies before they get taken from us

458,183 gain. I haven't baked since September 5th. Otherwise I would probably have a loss. Most of my coins are coming from the daily bonus (I've only logged in 7 times in the last 5 weeks).

Some of my coins are from selling my "old" food. I had my door blocked but I opened it yesterday to sell the little bit of food that I have. I don't have very much food to sell (my food used to sell REALLY fast :) ).

Given the replies, it seems to me that those that are in net gain have received coins because they've limited/abstained from either 1) baking 2) buying decor 3) both but are simply opening up the game to collect coins. Our bakeries won't grow longterm, but they will stay modest in size unless we purchase gems.

I know this conclusion is nothing new, but we now have somewhat hard evidence to support that bakery story is not a free game. For those who were on the fence and not sure, look at the data!

I've made about 2 million coins since the price increase. This is only because after I cook a big batch of food (to master level 4 and get my gems) I wait till it's gone to start cooking another food. I also have all my seats and cashier in front of the door so that's how I'm able to sell the batch of food quick. This game is no longer fun when this is the way you have to play :/

Had 27 million now down to 8 million. had about 100K plates on counters now have about 5 million plates. lol

I'm baking on only 9 of my machines and that enables me to earn about 100,000-200,000 a day and add to my supply of baked goods. If I were to use all my machines I'd be in deficit. I do not understand a baking game where baking gives you negative cash flow. I also have done only the most minimum decorating, didn't do the goal that makes you spend 500,000 coins on counters for no return and am buying no more than two specialty ovens so that I don't spend more on ovens than I'll earn. I'm level 98, I'm used to having enough coins to afford anything I want and this current imbalance in the cost of goods is absolutely absurd.

Oh gosh, I remembered I was as high as 6 million, now I'm down to my last million. :( I don't want to have to resort to planning to cook certain foods to earn money, and I feel like a game like this shouldn't force people to do that. I rather quit the game if it gets complicated like that. It's ridiculous, especially since I'm looking at my RS account which as 24 million. -_-

I had 2.5 million coins before halloween, which dropped to 50,000 after buying lots of stuff. But I am still baking every day on 17 ovens and have just hit the million mark again. Hopefully by Christmas I will have earned enough to splash out again.

I only turn a profit if I stop baking. I earn about 100k overnight so if I make one recipe on each of my 18 appliances, my overnight profits are gone. I'm not quite finished the goals but so far have spent approximately 500k on them. I have yet to do the goal that requires you to buy 10 vampire counters; they're 52k each! That's 520k to earn about 15k; I don't understand that logic at all.

I am only baking on my easy ovens to complete the seasonal items. I've been purchasing appliances( Halloween) but I won't even try to get to level 4 on those since if I bake with all of the appliances I would be in red! So baking only with 4 easy ovens and making around 90000 a day. That is if I don't buy anything at all.

I was so happy to wake up to a bakery with 1,000,000 coins. I got excited as it's my first time I hit 1m in my entire BS life.

I think I was around 6mil (bc I remember being really close to expansion before it suddenly changed to 12mil) to start, then I completed all the Halloween goals except the one where you had to buy like 100 counters, continued baking until I finished those goals, and then just stopped baking altogether. I'm close to 10mil now (I make about 100k every 12 hours, I think), but like many of you, my counters have 5k+ plates EACH.

I'm only spending money on recipes. Haven't spent it on anything else because I'll lose my money just like that. Boring! Might quit soon.

Lost 2 million coins not including decorating for halloween... so -2 million just baking since price hike....makes me feel kind of down looking at number falling everyday:(
I guess if I make 1 day recipe i might break even, but i was working hard to master recipe for gems so baked a lot of different variety time...so food wasnt selling fast enough and i just kept on baking ...
i wonder how low level players are managing...

Everyday I spend 45k to bake 22hr recipes. I only use 8 appliances. I earn 98k per day, so that's only about 52k in profit. It's pretty poor.

After tedious baking for several weeks, I am still very very far from next expansion. OK, this is enough. This game doesn't worth my spare time any more.

In September I was almost at 3 million. By the end of September I had over 4 million, but I spent 2 million to redecorate my bakery. I earned 3 million and got back to almost 5 million. I spent 1 million on new tables and I've almost earned that million back, only 400,000 to go. I've earned quite a lot since using the Halloween themed ovens! I get about 30,000 - 98,000 a day for my bonus (I'm on an iPod Touch 4).

I had 11 million coins before and now I have 16 million coins. I don't like cooking often or buying things so that's probably why. I really want to get an expansion but since the price hike I've been against it :(
