Deleting neighbors

I delete neighbors that have a zero heart social status but the next day they reappear as a neighbor. I make sure I hit done after I select them. Any suggestions?

Try restarting your game, are they still there?

This can be caused by a "Sync Error". This usually happens because your game has reverted a couple minutes back to a previous save of your progress. Please try restarting your device, or uninstalling and re-installing the application. Please let me know if you are still having issues with this.
