Is there a max number of rooms allowed?

Is there a max number of rooms allowed? I'm at level 27 and have 17 rooms & can't add another 1. I have the land already so it's not land expansion issues.

When I try to purchase a room the green check never appears.

Can you try force closing your game and seeing if you can place the room after?
