18HR wait time for dreambird ???!!

So I bred the Firefox with a dreambird hoping to get a Phoenix and after getting about a dozen griffins I end up with a dreambird egg with a 18 hr hatch time( also 18 hr breed time ) I just fell like this game is setting me up to fail , I keep getting common hybrids and now this ?? It's pissing me off and honestly the game was fun but stuff like this just makes me not want to play it ...anyone else get crazy breeding glitches ??
