It's easy to get, just mix any 3 colors, yes 3, not 4.

I don't think it's that easy. I bred about 40 of them while trying to get diamond using palmwing and sea buffalo, whilst 2 of my neighbours used gold to buy one after countless failures!!!

I used Palmwing and Sea Buffalo and I got Shell Lizard which I didn't even want.

The exact wording should be atleast 3 types will have a slight chance of yielding a shell. The feast & famine luck in this game has caused some people to get a ton of shell lizards while others to get none. In my case I got 1 on my first attempt wth 4 types, but I have never got a second since then despite doing over 50+ breeding attempts that could have resulted in one.

Shell lizards r extinct in my monster land. Bred every combo possible numerous times and have yet to get one. Sooo frustrating!!!

I'm having your problem but with diamond Pegasus ... She'll lizards and wavewing love me I've gotten like 15 wavewing or mor and 6 shells ... This morning I sold one shell

I bred a wave wing and a sea buffalo continuously until I got a shell lizard. It took about one week. I did not use the exact same two monsters everytime, but kept with the same type. I'd guess about5 or 6 tries. In the process I got sea buffalos, griffins, & 1 furball.

I am currently on my 82nd try for a Shell Lizard. My first 50 or so breeds were all 4 elements. I got 2 birdballs and a pegasus from that. My last 32 have mostly been fire, water and air mixtures. I got 2 birdballs and a furball from that. Basically I've been trying for shell since the game came out. I also do not buy gold. So over it.

Try switching the order. If you usually put one on one side, put it on the other.

Shell is more useful, granted but I want a sparkling rainbow horsey :/

I've tried everything lol, each monster has a certain percentage for a successful breed. Nothing changes this percentage, NOTHING.

I know in DS I tend to get better odds with my double colors on left and single colors on right. I don't have any luck with two doubles though.

I used sea buffalo and palm wing first try and got the shell lizard.
This was my first 4 colour mix when I just started the game.
almost 50 (4 colour) breeds later and no second shell lizard, also no rares the last 40 breeds.
The luck in this game (and dragon story) is bases on a system only team lava knows.

Have you tried Phoenix and ecogo? I'm breeding my 6th shell my others can from buffalo and palm wing or buffalo and wavewing

I got diamond Pegasus long before I was able to breed shell lizard. I used birdball & furball and finally got 20 hours. My daughter got 2 with Palmwing & sea buffalo.

Considering previous attempts do not affect probability of future random rolls, and that you only have 9 attempts before 100. I would say the odds are def not in your favor, I would rough it at 1 in 4 chance if you are feeling lucky.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you. My island looks so boring!! There are 9 white monsters that I'm missing out on, fml.

20hr breed on my 96th try!! Now I bet it will take 100 tries to get a common white monster. I'll be getting white blue blobs, white treerex and white dreambirds.

well congrats indeed. After looking at what some people have said about the bugged monsters, they have the correct stats they just dont have the right picture/name. So on the upside you can have a tree rex that produces like a shraptor and can be put in white habitats. In the long run that will be a cool monster, and no one else will be able to get it, no matter how many attempts they try.

why is this shell lizard so hard to get when it is required to breed so many of the other monsters!?!?!?!?!?! Been trying for ages and (can't believe I am saying this) but am gutted to have got my second 44 hour breed for another diamond pegasus. I don't want two pegasus'. I need a shell lizard!!!!!!!!

I will tell you how to get a shell lizard.

In a big blue marsh, place a sea buffalo & wavewing and leave it for 24h.
Once they have been in the marsh for over 24h go and breed them it should work.

I will tell you how to get a shell lizard.

In a big blue marsh, place a sea buffalo & wavewing and leave it for 24h.
Once they have been in the marsh for over 24h go and breed them it should work.

Just tried this and it is going to be a griffin or medusasaur. I hope its medusasaur since I already have 3 griffins.

I have to keep that in mind, and i think that is right. :) Shell Lizard=3 elements which is Fire, Water and Air like riitzc said while Diamond Pegasus is probably all four elements
