My expansion and breeding has disappeared

Hi I expanded my pet shop yesterday the dogs were digging and the barriers up now I've gone back on today it's back to like I never started expanding also I was breeding my beta fish and the baby has disappeared from the basket it cost 600 for the expansion and about 1600 for the breeding so I have lost these coins and also the permits needed for the expansion! What's going on? Thanks Louisa x

Also I have tried again to expand the shop I have enough coins and permits and although expand is highlighted I click on it nothing happens so I have to cancel out and gifts like letters and watches appear in the expansion area and I can collect them this never happened before the original expansion so it seems like the game thinks it has expanded but I can't use the new space as it still says expand on it!?
