ok i am lvl 22, i bought 2 land expansions, and just few gem items (the cheminee, the walls)
no idea how to level past 22; when ill get enough money i'll add a walk-in-closet, a second bathroom, and some garden.

So far I have a kitchen with an island and coffee bar, bedroom, bathroom, and walk in closet. Also, dining room, living room, and office. I also added an outdoor kitchen. I'm wanting to buy more land, and expand these rooms and add a butlers pantry, laundry room, craft room, etc.

I was just about to get my hopes up and look forward to switching to this game since we are experiencing some......irreconcilable differences in Bakery Story........BUT....yet again....Android users are the red headed step children of the gaming world for Team Lava. Maybe I'll visit dragon story!

I'm on Level 15. It's Still a Work in Progress. When I get some more money I plan to add an office space and a bedroom and a bathroom. Also my outdoor area needs some work its currently nonexistent at the moment.

Tempete8, no worries on my side. It's hard to have rooms that aren't on top of each other at the beginning due to the amount of space we have and TL not allowing us to move the doors where we want them to be. I just pretend that there is a door to the outside or the person has to wait. That is a "work in progress" anyways, until I expand more, which takes days. Once you start playing the game you'll understand better but the expansions and building of rooms can take 2 or 3 days, sometimes more when you have to wait for the supplies to build them, so we have to work with what little space we've got.

Also, I didn't want to just leave places empty because my neighbors need things to LIKE, and it's still hard determining what items are LIKEABLE and which ones aren't. Some items like a bath mat we can like, but a toilet we can't. It's so odd. :p

I don't mind at all:) I saw this one home that was was decorated in blue hues and was like, I would have totally designed my home like that if I wasn't going for more neutral and earth tones LOL. The color options are very limited and it's hard to match items within your decor. I did the best I could with what I was working with LOL!

Hello. I am on level 26, I have 340 neighbors (I was able to get up to 200 in just 3 days!), my home value is $664.6K, 12 total rooms (visible in this picture), 1 room under construction, 1 expansion under construction, and 3 rooms in storage that I don't have room for until I expand more. I really wish the expansions took less time so that I could use everything I've purchased. I intend to rearrange once my room is finished construction; I want it to be the kitchen. It's labeled as "Master Bathroom" when you buy it, but I don't know why a master bathroom would need to be that big! Currently, I have a living room, kitchen, dining room, 2 full bathrooms, laundry room, craft room, hallway, office, adult bedroom, and kids bedroom. I have a pool in storage because it wont fit right now until my expansion is finished. I change things around a lot when I add rooms and expand, so I'm sure it won't stay like this.

I really wish there were upper kitchen cabinets available that matched the base cabinets, and I wish I could move the front door/main room. Oh, I also wish things could be turned at a diagonal for better furniture layout options.

Changes I made:

1 - Well, I moved my "kitchen", which is under construction, to where it will be when it's finished being built. Because of that, I have had to store all of my kitchen and dining room items. The space is called "Master Bathroom" but that's insanely large for a master bath and i've decided it will be both my kitchen (with an eat-in area) and dining room.

2 - I had to turn my bathroom so that there's less wall space now, but it still fits there. next to the kitchen.

3 - Since I had to turn the bathroom, the laundry room had to be moved, but I decided to make it bigger instead and it is now connected to the kitchen space in the middle instead of on the ed

4 - I left my "Grand Hall" as the hallway to connect the rooms, but moved the furniture around in there a little.

5 - I changed the wall color of my craft room

6 - I swapped my master bedroom and master bathroom and had to swap the furniture in the master bedroom around to fit the new doorways

7 - I created another hallway with 2 "walk-in closets" that connect to the bedrooms wing of the house which i've separated out the black twin beds room from the nursery. I used a walk-in closet for the nursery since there's not much in there.

8 - I added another "teen" bedroom that shares a "Jack-and-Jill" bathroom with the black twin beds room.

9 - I enlarged the "office" to include a couch and tv and a yoga area.

10 - I have another "expansion" under construction that I'm hoping, with just 1 more after that is finished, will have enough room for my pool that i have in storage.


Being able to have NORMAL hallways instead of using these big rooms as hallways would really allow for more rooms to fit!!

I am finished with my home on Level 35.
Things I would like to add if they ever make it so we can expand more are: a bigger backyard with the pool, fountain, hammock, and large garden.
I would also like to put in a guest house/slash man cave with the pool table, flat screen, and bar area, as well as a guest suite and bathroom
The green space running through the home is supposed to be a hallway, which I would love to see added sometime in the near future since I don't like the idea of having to walk through each room to get to the other. (or at least make it so we can put the floor tiles down on the grass rather than only in the rooms)
Besides that the only other major thing I wish is to be able to choose where the doorways go and how many we would like to have for each room.

Its call "Rest Reclined" in your living room selection. It appear earth brown purplish colour which its not blue. It took me awhile to realised that too. :)

Hi. I just started HDS and I love designing. When I think of building and designing a home, I think you should make it to fit someone's need and get it to sale good. So im designing the best Malibu dream home EVER! When you walk in,
your in the living room. The living room has a chair, coffee table, TV stand, and luxury flat screen TV. The kitchen has a table that seats 3, a fridge, and an oven. The master suite contains a king bed, dresser, and vanity. The master bathroom has a step in shower, toilet, and sink. The second bedroom has a bunk bed. That's all I have now. It will be bigger. If you need a place to stay, you can stay for $100 gems per night. I'm MalibuMansions2013.

This is the game that got me hooked on TL! LOVE Home Design!

Recently my iPhone was having problems and I had to exchange it for a new device. I lost all my game data and had to start over.

My old Home (the one I was absolutely in LOVE with) was under HauntedMemories - I am now HauntedMemories2 and trying to catch up to where I was before.

I hear I could put my old game on my new devise, but I don't want to lose my new neighbors!

I wish there was a way to combine the two that would include neighbors, gems & coins.

To take the scoreboard off when you take photos, go to Menu then choose Photos in the top right corner. Hope that helps :)

I also use carpet on hardwood to make area rugs, stones indoors to give a spa feel to the bathroom, and outdoor plants inside (although I try to place them where the base is obscured so you can't tell they aren't in a pot!). A WORK IN PROGRESS :-) I am only on level 18...
