Evolving

if I have 3 or 4 of a type, should I evolve them all? does it make a difference in money collected? I was told to keep them for now in order to earn money but don't know about evolving.

I only evolve extra dragons when I have extra food. I don't go past 7 though as it takes too much food when I know I'll end up selling the dragon later unless it brings in a substantial amount...like Mistmoth.
