Contract jobs

Does anyone know if the contract jobs expire after the allotted time? Say the 2hr expires after 4 and the 8 hr after 16?

I don't think they do. I did a 2 hour one, went to sleep for the night, and it was okay when I woke up in the morning. I've even neglected 2 minute ones for quite a while and they were fine.
