Does anybody have any great strategies yet? I'm finding its painfully slow to make money.

If you want quick money I guess do the 2 minute coin collector frequently, but you need to have a lot of time on your hands. Also leave a lot of likes and collect your likes often so that new likes can be left.

Thanx, I guess the more Nbr's you have the better because you get coins for visiting them too.

Question...can you earn gems in this game by mastering anything like in bs and RS?

trace35
08-23-12, 11:15 PM
Don't know, not that I know of. Maybe because we can gift gems instead?

Yep. On level 7 now, and get 50 coins every 2 min.

No. It works like pet hotel. You only get gems if people gift them to you. BUT if it's exactly like pet hotel that means one person is only allowed to gift 3 gems a day.

Yes. Frequent "Like" pickups and shortest coin collector jobs.

Honestly, starting out the best idea is to do the 30 second task [which eventually becomes 2 minutes when you level up some more]. I was watching a movie last night, I left the game open. At this point I could earn 40 coins per 2 minutes. This movie was exactly 2 hours. I made 4, 800. It may not seem like much....but that beats the 600 coins you get for the actual 2 hour task. So maybe if you have to sit down and wait around for something...I'd do the tasks :)

Correct, you can only gift 3 gems a day to 3 of your neighbors

I just reached level 30 (I've been buying lamps since yesterday). It took me a little over 24 hours of playing this game to reach level 30.

I think TL has more to add to this game. I would expect them to add more levels. I beleieve they said this is still in "test" mode. Be ready for changes... It can't stay this easy.

Yup, for now 30 it max. My blue bar doesn't move any more. Also... 1 million is the max home value.

Man, I lose count the number of lamps
boutght and sold to reach Level 22...

If I see another lammpppp...

AnnasCoffee
08-26-12, 05:57 PM
The lamps are our friends :). You should only need 1400 or 1500 of them ... Hehehe. It's like a lamp invasion.

For people who like numbers... your home value when you start is about $50,000. To reach level 30 you need your home vaule at $925,000. Each lamp gives you $600 vaule... So that comes to 1458 lamps. Each lamps costs 50 coins BUT you can SELL the lamp for 10 coins... So really it's only 40 coins.

TOTAL cost to get to level 30.... 58,333 coins

It's SO worth it... You make MORE money every time you collect and you unlock really pretty new furniture.

Today I had placed abbot 50 lamps all over my house, ready to sell them again, and someone stopped by. They wrote on my wall 'nice place, but you've got a lot of lamps.' she must have thought I was weird. And shed be right.

Buying lamps worked for me... I was on the highest possible level with about 28 hours after I started the game.

Yup, LAMPing up is the way to go! I did exactly that since I first started. I tried buying different objects, but the lamp is the most cost efficient and quick.

Looks like 30 is the level cap.

Go trace! I was so disgusted with lamps that I deleted them all... now I have to buy one for my design! Oh well... I kinda want a lamp in my house to show it the appreciation that it deserves (my house was built on them)!

trace35
08-27-12, 06:57 PM
Yep, all hail the lamp! Btw my gifts are full. I forgot about your second 'gift' and accepted too many. Thanx though.

Level 28 now, and I have to buy ALOT of lamps to level up now.

lol!! i gave up on 30 secs lamping when I hit level 27, helps to buy the lasting light or stand by me (both same cost as lamping) to slow down the pace a bit n ease aching fingers... Buying the aquadive pool will shoot the value up pretty fast if you have coins to spare.

Not any more.... The lamp trick DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE !!! Everyone STOP buying lamps. Team Lava lowered the vaule from the lamps down to $150 (it was 600).

A strategy I have been using is utilizing likes for income. I don't have enough time to use the two minute jobs so this allows me some extra income without having to check so often.

First, you need to make sure you have plenty of neighbors and also return likes to them all in. I filled my home up with as many of the 'Lazy Days' (Green Chair) as it would hold. They cost only 100 coins (the cheapest 'likeable' item I have found) and you can sell for 10 coins so total investment is 90 coins. After 5 likes they have paid for themselves and are making pure profit in tips for you.

Since TL changed the "Lamping Up" item value I was curious which item was now the best to buy in order to level up fastest so I put together a spreadsheet of all the items in the game.

Below I have listed the ten items with lowest cost per value. They are sorted smallest to largest first by the Cost/Value, then by time to build. I've also included the before and after information for "Lamping Up" for reference.

I reached Lvl 30 $1 million yesterday with all the goals and such,

dipp44,

LOVE the chart!!! This info is very useful for anyone who wants to level up. Another good thing to know would be how much each item sells for... So you spend as few coins as possible while leveling up.

LynnStorm8,

Yeah, my blue bar doesn't move either:(. I wish they would add more levels... There seems to be an increase in the number of players at level 30.

LynnStorm8

But I see yours at $2 million!

Mines at $1 million and not a cent more :(

I'm thinking TeamLava is monitoring this thread as every post seems to be followed by an update lowering the value of the best choices. They are trying to keep things around the 1/3 ration max.
