haven't you heard of Barn Cats? And there are dog people and cat people? What's with all the dogs in the TL games?
If you have one as an option, yes you can ignore it, but how about offering a choice?

Cats are needed, I vote for tabbies 3 colors, even better a momma kitty and 3 multi colored kittens. You just know that they would meet the mice down.
