Once you cross breed the Kinkajou (meerkat + fossa, as stated above; takes 14 hours), it is then also a "constructable" habitat where you need two sets of items from neighbors. I forgot to make note of which items. If you have them already, it builds immediately. Then you can crossbreed the mate.

The Sandveld Lizard, you can buy for 30,000. No items from neighbors needed but you have to wait about a day for it to be ready. It gives 273 gold and 10 XP with a collection time of 20 hours.

The Green Stingray, costs 12 gems, and gives 62 gold and 5 XP with a collection time of 13 hours.
