I also the same, try all combinations nearly 30 times but no hope at all, only Firestorm and some Eagles.

I got a scorpion by breeding a firestorm and island. I'm trying for a diamond and thought i was getting another firestorm. Only took me about 4 tries. Im excited :) You'll get it eventually. Good luck!

I think I got a Scorpion dragon. Just bred 15 min ago using L8 Firestorm + L5 Firestorm. Breeding time said 13 hours. Keeping fingers crossed.

I've been trying forever too (since it first appeared in DS), but today I tried breeding my epic firestorm and epic eagle and I got it on my first try. Don't give up and good luck.

Good morning all. I wanted to let you all know that I think I got another Scorpion on my iPad acct. Again I used L7/8 Firestorm + L4/5 Firestorm about 15 min ago. Breeding time said 13 hrs. Since this goal ends in about 6 hrs, (sigh) I'll have to use my gold to speed it up.

I've been breeding a variety of red/yellow combinations ever since I got this quest and I finally got a 13 hour breeding this morning with eight hours to go! Using the gold I horde from doing quests to speed it up just in time to finish the quest heh. I got it with two level 5 firestorms.
