I am the point in the game where I have over 50 monsters in my habitats and I am noticing one of the biggest limiters I am experiencing is not being able to evolve them. The reason for this is that I am gaining monsters 3x faster than I can evolve them. Breeding and evolving take the same amount of time for monsters (with a few exceptions), but you have to evolve a monster 3 times. This leads to an evolution shortage amongst monsters.
I am recommending that as part of leveling up to lvl 20 that players get a second totem to help address this shortage. Another way is to take a more tap fish route where you can get a second totem anytime you want, but you are going to pay premium currency for it (in this case gold).
