I put Lightning in the Nest, and I have a DT as well. There is also a DT breeding now. Since I only have two nests, I won't have room if I get a Forest fail unless I'm lucky and get Quetzal the next time first try. But I highly doubt it so I'm going to stop now.

I used normal breed the whole time except once when I thought I'd try Boosted Breed (all it gave me was a Forest).

Me too. I've spent almost 500 gold which I was saving to buy a treasure dragon. The last hours I was breeding nonstop... forest after forest. I had like 10 dawntrees and did not get any Quetzal dragon. I'm so sad... lost my gold savings... I don't feel like playing anymore. So unfair. Dawntree should have gotten ridden first. It was the one who was originally released as LE dragon.

I downloaded this game to get gems in the restaurant story app. Now I don't even have that app anymore and I am addicted to this app, and have been for the last few months. I got lucky at lv 23 with a diamond dragon and I would love a chance to breed a Quetzal Dragon, but it was expired before I even started playing. I think that the Quetzal should be brought back on a limited run again. And if team lava has to drop a dragon to add the quetzal back to the game, there are a few ideal candidates. I don't think anyone would complain about a week or two without Coral or Island dragons;in fact, people that don't have diamond dragons could at least spend that time breeding other dragons that are time consuming to attempt due to Coral and Island fails.

Sorry if I've missed a notice or post but last I saw was that there were several retired dragons back up for grab & Quetzal was one of them & one I really need. I've been trying for the little bugger ever since. I can't believe I still haven't got him & it got me wondering if he's been removed again & I've just missed it. I don't see him in the market so I'm scared its true. Anyone who can confirm either way would be great & again please forgive if this is common knowledge & I've just missed it. Thanks!!!

Actually all Gemstone type dragons can be bred. When they first came out they couldn't but TL changed it. :)

I was really surprised because I didn't think that Quetzal was breedable and then I saw it on the market. So, yes, I guess you can breed Quetzal again.

It took me 8 hours... For some reason I think Quetzal is much harder to breed than the likes of Crusader. I got a crusader after only about 2 hours once.

I'm into my 2nd rerun now, and hopefully I'll get this dragon soon. At least the fails are such a short amount of time.

Yeah the Q pays more than the Crusader, I have two and they are very solid come tourney time.

And once you get the Quetzal you can breed it back to the Diamond trying for an Infinity. Only two fails to that pairing - Quetzal (32 hours) and Forest (20 seconds).

Woohoo, finally got the Quetzal on my 2nd account. It 'only' took 70 minutes of continual breeading. So about 150 fails (not that i counted). I did try a couple of days ago for probably an hour or two as well (another 100-200 fails then as well). It was much easier for me to get the Crusader, i'm glad this madness is over now.

I really love this little dragon. Relatively easy to get (once you have a diamond that is, which we all know is really hard to get), earning me ridiculous amounts of coin.
