Compared to two IRL friends, I seem to have been a LOT luckier getting rares. For those wondering, I've pretty much always bred the pure dragons, and I've always gone by the wiki page on Dragon Story eggs (http://dragon-story.wikia.com/wiki/Eggs).

But I was wondering if these results are unusual since I've only bred 11 times and most of these were when I was level 8,9 or 10... also all of these were the first try for the pairings listed. I haven't re-bred any of these pairings yet.

Any thoughts? I've been visiting neighbors islands and playing with their dragons religiously for the past 2 days while I wait to collect coins so I dunno if that has something to do with it.

Okay, so the egg that you have is definitely an island. Diamond come from a combo of 4 colors plus its time is 44 hours, which read as 2 days when it start out. It can't be a Magic because Fire + Water is Magic but you don't have a Fire in your both of your parent dragons.

The results I think depend much more on luck I think but idk, it varies for players

Pretty much how I've always done it, by using the pure breeds every time.

Rather ironically, I didn't do it this way by getting my (recent) Athletic, because since I made this thread I've pretty much just been trying hybrids for the Diamond. Also got a Familiar too, which is awesome, just... really want that Diamond now.

That's all my dragons. I am also breeding a diamond with a crusader and the wait is 44hr so I will have either another diamond or another crusader. Any advice on getting the trickster, Mindvolt, Atlantis, or Athletic? Can't seem to get these ones after so many tries.

you know, i'm starting to wonder if this game is divided into a red game/blue game type thing, like in the old pokemon games... where you can only get certain pokemon depending on which version you have

Because every single dragon you mentioned not being able to get, I have. Yet all the ones I don't have, you have... (Seabreeze, Scorpion, Parakeet, Familiar, Planet, Wizard, Diamond and the hybrids of diamond...)

But for yours, this is how I got mine:

Trickster - Magic 6 x Air 6
Mindvolt - Eagle 8 x Atlantis 8
Atlantis - Water 5 x Forest 5 and Island 5 x Firestorm 6
Athletic - Fire 7 x Water 6
Mistmoth - Magic 6 x Water 6 (i have 3 of them from that combo)
Titan - Charm 6 x Fire 7

yeah, i might start a thread about this, to see if there's a large number of people who are missing certain "blocks" of dragons.. like you got all those using low/mid level dragons, kinda like me, and probably early on in the game, like me...

it's almost like my game let me get those super rare/rares, and yours let you get yours, and now for me to get yours is nearly impossible >.<

though i wonder how this relates to the diamond, if maybe your on one 'version' where island/firestorm is the typical/most often successful pairing, and im on the other one, that takes two others...

just gotta figure out what those 'others' are o.x

yeah i got an atlantis, forestfire and mistmoth within the first dozen or so breedings.. plus a ton of rares. i bet the game spits them out for people to help with coin rates and to give us a false sense of security that we'll be able to get them this easily from then on lol

basically I looked at the six dragons you were able to get and broke it down to colors (like if it's a familiar, it's 1 purple, 1 green)

then I looked at the six I'm able to get -

3 Purple
4 Blue
2 Yellow
1 Green
2 Red

You were able to get a diamond using Blue/Green x Red/Yellow, and you had at minimun 2 of each of those colors...

I've been trying that combo, but only have 1 green ....

Maybe my "winning combination" is Purple/Blue/Yellow/Red in some form? Like Mistmoth x Firestorm/Eagle? or Trickster/Genie x Athletic? or Charm x Mist/Mindvolt?

I have all of those, so if I can get this gold purchase to go through, I'm trying it... lol
