Use this combo loads of times and eventually you will get either shell or Pegasus. So I recommend this one ;)

Yes it is a mostrich. Only other 22 hr is king clam. From your combination king clam is not possible :-)

Pl recheck your number of hours . Mosstrich is 32. King clam 22. But your combo does not have blue. Could be a glitch . Did your tree Rex have she'll in it ? Or only a green leaf ?

I bread my level 4 Firefox and level 4 Blue Blob and didn't get this egg design. Not sure what it is yet since it has a 14 hr incubation time, but it looks like the Furball egg I saw posted somewhere. I already got a Furball randomly pairing monsters before the Sea Buffalo goal came up. I wasn't paying that much attention to the eggs yet. Does the order you select them affect the outcome?


I got the Sea Buffalo by breeding level 4Firefox and level 4 Blue Blob. It takes 8 hours to breed.

More than likely you got a Hermit Cat. :) Grats!

Correction: 32 Hrs is for Mosstrich.... 36 hrs is for Hermit Cat. So you have a Mosstrich. :) Sry.

Well it's easier now because there aren't that many yet. It will get more difficult as they add more monsters to the mix.

Nope, it is all chances. And I have not been able to form anything concrete on if levels have any influence on breeding probabilities. Note I got my Shell Lizard on my first try with two lvl 6 monsters, while I have seen others take 20 attempts with lvl 7 & 8 monsters. So keep trying and never give up.
Yep I have tried the lvl 8 sea buffalo & lvl 7 wavewing at least 20 times now.......still nothing. Not giving up though! 😃

This may be a silly question but I had little to no problem breeding my first diamond pegasus but having no luck at all breeding a second, is there a monster that I can breed with a pegasus that will give me another pegasus? I tried it with all of the 3 "original" dragons and just got more of the originals.

I got 6 Inferoo Monsters, 3 of which I got from breeding Leaf lion level 4 with Birdball level 6
And 3 more from breeding Firfox level 4 with Birdball level 6

I always test combos 3 times before I give out advice on how to get a dragon or a monster.

Diamond Pegasus is 2 days but there are other monsters who has two days but that's when you have to look at the gold.

Diamond Pegasus: 44 Gold
Sapphire Kraken: 40 Gold
Hermit Cat: 36 Gold
Mosstrich: 32 Gold

I love my Pegasus. I can be feeling down and just one look at my Pegasus makes me feel better. I love everything about him. His two step dance to him flying above his home or when he spreads the rainbow. He's always happy like he has nothing to worry about. He's worth every monster that I had to breed and wait for it to be completed.

Even tried different monsters of the same level and switching the order around....using lvl 7 wavewing on the left and the sea buffalo on the right. I have them breeding at the moment but just bought a shell lizard. I'll scream if the ones breeding now produce a shell lizard.

Been using my furball and mostrich repeatedly to try and breed a diamond pegasus but they keep giving me shell lizards. I stopped counting but it's up to around 7 now.

It took me so long to breed my first shell lizard but now it's like I have a whole herd, I've had to sell a lot of them.

I got a few birdball monsters while trying for a shell lizard by using lvl 8 sea monster with lvl 7 wavewing :) Never ended up getting the shell lizard though (ended up buying one)

Wanting to breed a cuddle crab, put in a lvl 6 Shell Lizard with a Lvl 10 Fire Fox. Result-36 hours breeding time which means that it's certainly not a Cuddle Crab. Most probably a Hermit Cat and am happy with it ,

I gave up on Shell Lizard and Fire Fox to get Hermit Cat. Which is why I used Cuddlecrab with Fire Fox to get Hermit Cat. I think I got it within the first three tries.

Finally got the hermit cat. Shell and fire fox didn't produce anything (I tried 5 times) then took the suggestion of using 2 cuddle tabs (lvl 10 and 4) and got it on the first try. Finally! 1 whole month gone bcs of that that 1 monster .

Same thing... different combos of monsters with the same elements... try one combo a few times... then switch it up. I've sold many of Leaf Lions... and still am cuz I don't have the Burnbark yet. :/

Oh, I have the fourth Burnbark hatching :/. I think I got the first one with Medussaur and Phoenix both in epic form. But the last one was from Shellwing and Burnbark both lvl7. So, you can try this combo if you want :)

Yes, I get that. That's what I've been doing, and for the shell lizard as well. I'm asking what combos has anyone else tried that worked for them for an inferno, not what colors do I breed for one. I even said I know it is red and green.

To be honest, I hadnt even tried for a diamond yet as I've been concentrating on the other monsters I still want to get. Just put an epic Bird Ball in with an epic Leaf Lion and have a 2 day breed time (44 gold to complete) I'm about the unluckiest person around so I'm super happy :) This after getting the witch dragon in dragon story. Maybe I should buy a lotto ticket lol

Have been trying for a Pumpkin Monster and got nowhere. Gave up and decided to to for another monster I seem to have no luck getting, a Mosstrich. Got a 6 hour breed time. Lol So that's the 'trick' for me it seems :p Try for something else cos I never get the one I'm trying for haha. I used a lvl 8 Tree Rex called Fern with a lvl 6 Dream Bird called Willow.

Your not doing nothing wrong ... Try saving up gold or buying some to speed up breeding and then just try diamond and blue bob one after another ...I got of like that faster

She doesn't need gold to speed the times up. The Blue Blob and Diamond combination wait is only 30 seconds. I think I got it within my second/third try. Now, if you are using Fire Fox and Diamond the wait is four hours this took me a while to get. I had like 120 gold and I nearly wasted all of it getting Ruby Manticore, but now I have three of them (Ruby Manticore and Sapphire Kraken) Now, I need two more Diamond Pegasus then my life is complete.

In my case, Sea Slime is the problem. Been trying for two weeks now when finally it popped up earlier this morning. I've been getting 5 Yulesky trying for this by the basic rule, Blue Blob + Shell Lizard.
I got my first diamond by using SeaBuffalo + Palmwing, and my second one using Inferoo + Shellwing. Hopefully you got one soon!

It's a shame that the team for Monster Story don't put as much love into this game as dragon Story. It has the potential to be just as popular. But extreme difficulties in getting new or rare monsters and diamonds becomes annoying when there is only so few monsters to get. You end up with the same ones over and over again. I like the game but I'm sick of 18 hour fail times for 3 weeks straight when there is still 17 monsters I don't have. Surely after 3 weeks my chances of getting something new when there is 17 left for me to get would be a reasonable ask.

I got my diamond from Level 10 Medusasaur and Level 10 Griffin.

2 other breedings of Level 10 Medusasaur and Level 10 Griffin gave me 2 Ecogoo. good thing it was only a 3 hour wait.


I got 2 back to back Phoenix from Level 10 Leaf Lion x Level 10 Wavewing while trying for another diamond


And I just got my Pumpkinhead from Level 10 Shraptor x Level 10 Leaf Lion. Thought I would get a Sky Turtle, but to my surprise it was a Pumpkinhead.


I'm hoping/waiting for an upgrade and have been at level 30 for about 3 weeks, just breeding to get monsters I don't have.

I hadn't been trying too hard to get a diamond and got one about a week ago. 44 hours to breed, 44 hours to hatch and then 44 hrs to evolve.

Why do they have to make the breeding times et al so long???


If it's possible to get one of the parents from breeding, does that mean one could get a diamond from breeding a diamond to something else?

I've been trying an Eagauna and Furball combo to get the monsters I am missing (Firestorm Bird/Sea Slime/Magmadillo/Diamond Pegasus). Stuck in the same cycle I always seem to be in. In addition to the Tonguetoads, Cuddlecrabs and Wavewings, I also got my fourth Hermit cat, seventh King Clam and eighth Yulesky.

On your other point, I've bred the same combo probably 30 times in a row now without a Diamond. I just got a Magmadillo though. Been seeing a lot of Griffins lately.

I don't think your level has anything do to with whether or not you can get a Diamond Pegasus. I've seen people at very low levels get them and have had level 30 neighbors get their first as well.

I finally bred the Diamond Pegasus. In this game I'm only level 17 but I had a game on my android phone where I was at level 30 with no luck. With this and ds I'm noticing my "luck" at breeding is much better since playing on IOS. I don't think it's a coincidence either. Anyways, I got my diamond egg with low level Phoenix and Ecogoo. It's in the nest now, it's so pretty I don't want to speed up the hatching. :-)

I am stick in this game too! No pegasus and I am trying so hard. Every day I try. No luck. So now I really thinking about deleting the game. No stress or irritation anymore. What do you think I must do, because I think if you have level 30 and still no Pegasus you do not get one. .? Or am I wrong?

I'm convinced the ease of getting this elusive egg depends on the system you're playing on. I could just be jaded from being a past android player but I was a level 30 and had no rare monsters or dragons in ds for that matter but I'm barely in a month on iOS and I have my Pegasus in the nest when I wasn't even trying for him yet.

I got diamond pegasus breeding lvl 4 cuddlecrab and lvl 8 sea rex, hope this helps

I had tried for 3 weeks to get a magmadillo using firefox and shell lizard, but all i was getting was hermit cat and cuddlecrab. Then i switched to breeding the hermit cat with shell lizard on the principle that although getting the parent is possible, it isn't that likely, and sure enough, after 3 cuddlecrabs i got my magmadillo egg

Next i used the same principle for firestorm bird, breeding gobbledygoo with griffin and got the 16 hour time on my first shot. I hope this helps someone.

Hi I have a general question about breeding I have all of the normal dragons all at level 10 and the light dragon at 10 and the life dragon is at 7 or 8 the only dragons I can breed are the normal ones which always give me more of the ones I also ready have I did get to breed my light dragon to each one of the normal ones ie being water air act and was able to get some new dragons but now I can only breed the normal ones all are around level 7-8 for the newer dragons can anyone help me? Thanks ( sorry if this is posted in area)

I'm new to Monster Story, just started playing yesterday. Is they a picture of the eggs on the forum? That way I can get an idea of what monsters I'm getting, so I know not to breed the same ones over & over again & end up with the a dozen or so of the same monster.
