What devices are you using? I'm on kindle fire. I noticed a lot of the posters on BS with the same problem were on kindle.

The game server is down you guys, chill. Been seeing this coming for a week or more. It's called a crash! Hopefully once all the kiddos go back to school next month, won't be such a load! Best of luck to all those who are trying to fix things, not an easy job!
