Red Dragon Not Earning Money :/

So I am fairly new to the game and I have two red dragons that are level 5 and 7 but the amount of money I gain is only 80 coins instead of the 200-something that it says :( Someone please tell me what's going on!

Did you have them doing something else like evolving or breeding or something? They do not earn any money when they are doing something else.

Also the small red habitat can only hold a total of 250 gold so once that limit is reached your dragons will not earn you any more money unless you collect so you'd have to collect every half hour or something.

EDIT: I meant 250 silver NOT gold for the red habitat above. This forum really is in desperate need of an edit option.
