Some cities seem to have two lakes - but I only have one - anyone know why -and hw many lakes do you have?

I have three lakes, my girlfriend has only one lake,
as for why.. because it's more unfair that way?

I love that we can have different city designs. It seems to add a bit of realism to our experience; as every city truly is not the same. It's slowly starting to grow on me... CS METRO; not so bad after all.

I had a lake completely disappear in my expansion, and I wanted to keep it. Do they all disappear?

My lakes have disappeared when I expanded that area.

Hmmm, so I guess if I want to keep it I have to expand around it.

I expanded an area that had no lake and when the expansion was done, there was a lake. The opposite also happened to me.

Now that's interesting, so I may find another during one of my expansions. Good to know.

when I expanded, I got blocked by a cliff (which wasn't there before) - needed 12 energies (energys?) to get rid of it

Only 12? Consider yourself lucky. It takes 20 to remove a lake!

really? then I would just keep the lake there for decoration ^_^

We could just use foliage as decoration.

Just like with the other story games that feature expansions into the wilderness, what you see in the square you expand to does not necessarily reflect what you will have to clear out later on.

I don't know if this was already answered, but it's because when you expand sometimes, items pop up out of nowhere. I remember yesterday a cliff popped up and it took me 20 taps to chop it away. In this case, I had an added lake.

I expanded to an empty spot, only to have a lake pop up there. It cost me 20 energy (or an hour of not playing) to clear it.
Today I expanded to a spot with some trees, but they disappeared. I then build roads, windmills, houses and a tennis court. About five hours later the game (or mother nature) dropped a cliff and some trees on top of the roads and tennis court. It looks really glitchy.
