I don't want more than one, I want exactly one! I agree they're ugly, I wouldn't be bothered except they're now the only dragon I don't have. Can't believe I'm now over 30 attempts to get something that should be so simple.

I have a policy that Once I've started trying for a dragon, I must keep going until I get it. Unfortunately, the Athletic is pretty much a recolour, AND it's a recolour of the Trickster, which I find hideous. I actually WANT to break my policy just so I can actually TRY for a Diamond (which I know will be futile). SO CONFLICTED

After 7 tries using the same Epic Fire ( Zeal ) and Epic Water ( Saphir ), so I decided to pop in a random Water. Out of the two I had, I picked my lvl 4 named KRAKEN. AND IT WORKED. 11 hrs in the den. XD

It is red and blue dragon so any combos with those colors will get you one like fire and water

I don't have a serpent but now I've done firestorm and island constantly for the past four days. I keep getting life dragons, and since they only take 3 hours to breed/hatch, although I lost count how many I've done, you know that's a lot. The goal is going to end up disappearing before I get this athletic dragon. Rare or not, I should not have to breed 27 fire/water and what....30 firestorm/island or so and still not get a single athletic? This is out of control.

Hmm.. Island is a common dragon. Scorpion's not. Let's see... so maybe the common Firestorm dragon with the same typing as the Scorpion. So try that!

Yes, any dragon combo with fire and water could get you an Athletic. Pure breeding is likely your best bet with this one since you can only get Magic (20 hr) or the Athletic (11 hr).

Magic? that's not in the tying for the athletic.. fire and magic would get you a charm, titan, or planet.

In my experience just keep breeding the same dragons over and over again and you can get rares and super rares. I got into be impatient and keep switching dragons, levels colors etc and got no where, just breeding commons for the most part..

When I was breeding for the Diamond dragon I've used Firestorm and Island and got so many different dragons from that combination: 2 Atlantis, Seabreeze, 2 Mindvolts, 4 Serpents, 3 Athletics, 2 Eagles, 5 Fairies, Forestfire. Have had quite a luck since the ratio of common vs. rare/super rare was 7 vs. 20. And then I've decided to change the combination to Eagle and Island and got Diamond on the 1st try, 28th try in total.

So I remember someone once said that "If you breed red+blue you are guaranteed to get a rare",

since Athletic is RARE, too.

For example, test breeding red+blue 10 times and see the proportion of the appearance of Magic and Athletic.

I want to know a approximate proportion, such as 8:2 or 7:3.

Or I don't know if I get a real RARE dragon or not when I breed a Athletic.

Magic is rare considered rare because you need 2 elements to breed it. Its techinally common but its classified as rare. And althetic is rare

The number of elements has nothing to do with it. You need at least 2 elements to breed anything besides a basic dragon, not just to breed a rare one. Common dragons have 2 elements as well. Magic is a "fake" rare. I think its misclassified. I've breed at least 4 magic myself, but some do have problems getting one. I got 1 athletic by accident.

yeah same here. I got my Athletic before for Magic. I've only ever gotten 2 other magic dragons (as fails trying to breed hypnotic) but I've gotten quite a few Athletics. Guess it depends on your game. I wish I could keep all the Rare/ Super rare fail dragons though.. **** the habitat limit!

that is the 100% method to get athletic. beyond that level, well, magic is just more common than athletic.

You can breed athletic by breeding fire and water before u unlock magic after u unlock magic athletic become hard to get

It's still possible to get an athletic after level 10, just more difficult because magic is introduced and is more common. keep trying, you'll get it eventually!

Don't try for it, you might get it when you try for Mask or Goblin... You're wasting your time, but if you don't care about the Magic fails then keep using Red/Blue combo.

He's right. I couldn't get it for anything. Then at Level 94, and going for goblin, I couldn't stop getting them. No goblin, but lots of athletics.
