It is unavoidable that we often tap faster than we can trigger an AK47, so this is a workaround I practising.

The workaround is rethink and redesign the place.

Problem:
#1 Accidentally click on Accept "Finish making this dish INSTANTLY for # Gems"

Solution to minimise the risk to hit the above Gem Traps:

1. Avoid putting any Stoves next to any tables
- if stoves are placed next to tables, it is very easily to tap to the stove next to the table when you are collecting your tips
- therefore, leave an empty space in between any Stoves and tables
- if space is a constrain, then try place the Stoves at the upper part from tables, not lower part from the table. By table being overlapped by the stoves, collecting tips will be difficult and very easy fall into Gem Traps.

2. Isolate all Stoves in a corner
- to further minimise the risk, try isolate the stoves in a far end corner

3. Tap only on the left part of the screen, avoid tapping on the right part of the screen.
- The right part of the screen is where the "Accept" buttons are located. Tap only on the left part of the screen, and it won't hit the Accept button unintensionally.

Good luck! This is top secret, don't let TeamLava know this, else they will start placing the Accept button covering the entire screen.

I'll post some screenshots with good and bad example of Gem Trap design later.

I catagorise Gem Trap risk into 3 level by judging based on the risks involved.

Total of three risk factor

1. Stoves are not isolated - Risk value: 1 point
2. Stove next to table - Risk value: 2 points
3. Stove overlapping table - Risk value: 4 points

Evaluate your Gem Trap risk. From range 0 point to 7 points. The higher the points, the higher the risk.

Example of Risk evaluation in the following photo album.

I am not sure posing a link above will get a warning or something... I hope this is not

long time player here...lost a lot of gems I earned but I also stopped paying for them.

1. When you cook food on the stoves, make sure to zoom in and you can click directly on the oven (too often I was zoomed out and press on an adjacent oven).

2. be careful when clicking OUTSIDE of the bakery perimeter, it may register as you are trying to expand and if you don't have enough money, you may use gems to earn coins.

3. not sure if this applies, but sometimes, I've noticed that when I open the design tab, it is not at the starting point, take your time to look at it. for example, if you click on tables, the white table should be first BUT sometimes the first item is a gem item - maybe from last time you scrolled through.

this thread is great - I want to see where else people lost gems so I can avoid it.

I've been playing for a bit now (level 34) and I've lost gems in the design tab. When I was first starting out, I kept trying to click on the little "i" icon in the corner of the specialty treasure boxes thinking that it would tell me what was inside. Little did I know that I was purchasing random items. I think I bought half the candy jar before I figured it out! LOL. I just thought that the icon wasn't working on my tablet. Now that I realize I spent 24 gems each time I was trying to info. I feel ridiculous. I could've used those gems to expand when I was first starting out. I make it a point now to always click directly in the center of the box I wish to purchase. Some lessons are painfully learned.

1. Never a problem to me, because most of the time I cook and master a single dish before move on to the next dish. Regardless adjacent oven or not, eventually all stoves will cook the same dish at the same time. Unless it is in between switching to next dish to master.

2. Never have such problem, as I never actually tap that far.. hahaha... anyway, tapping only on the left part of the screen would also avoid the "BUY" button unintensionally too.

3. It is because you were previously on that screen. The screen remains the same page unless you did something else to overwrite it. Anyway, you sounds like you buy tables without looking at what you are buying much like clearing the tips on your tables. LOL....
