I never got this update. Is it manual? Or are these updates "randomly given"?
It just happened recently. I'm wondering if it's only android cause I'm on iOS

Android phone user here. I had no clue this was here since there wasn't a prompt saying "Hooray" the new update... I see all the new stuff in the design area, tho. I'll have a couple of free ovens in 4 mins. I just hope I can afford the appliances, lol.
I wonder if this is a special update or if the day of release is changing?

Personally I think someone at TL made a mistake and released all the updates to Android by mistake. There is way to much stuff at once, this feels like a month worth of goods. I like the update but am waiting for all the stuff to disappear from purchasing. I bought all the coin stuff in case they start changing prices or something. Thanks TL I do like the update.

I think ios will get it because i can send parts to neighbors whom have requested it. With iOS only stuff only iOS neighbors can send parts - if that makes sense? But if it is android only at least now they get something and the arguments of ios and android will hopefully be done with! :) then android will have something that iOS doesn't have.

I think it's fair for Android in a sense that they got something before us. I don't think it's fair that there's so much stuff!!!

Yeah agree but I think us iOS will get but will have to download a new version from app... Since some statedike 2 weeks ago that they saw it but then dissapeared

This REALLY has to be a mistake, (I'm an iOS player) This game WAS made for iOS devices and was later added for Android. So i don't think it would make any sense for them to give it to Android first without it being a mistake. And if so, WE would have got it like 2 seconds later! Hopefully they fix it soon, because i have a family member who JUST showed me the stuff,

Our money is the same color as yours and we play just as much. I think they need to give android users stuff that they don't give ios users. That would be fair.

Actually it wouldn't. I think they should give you goals. Like I said from the beginning when I found out Android didn't goals I even said that's not fair. I also said that TeamLava shouldn't release things such as goals and I believe appliances that Android can't use until they know that both parties can use them. I can quote myself if you'd like.

I just got the Ice Cream Sandwich update for Android, finally able to do screenshots.
Greygull, if i wasnt in a medicated feverish stupor i woulda beated you on posting the oven items :p But oh boy was i ever confused when i logged in and saw all the new stuff. I seriously thought i slept in until Thurs because of how sick i am.
Anyways iOS users will propably get this update too so they shouldnt fret. Unless the update is being sponsored by google. Then all you can do is complain to Apple that they dont sponsor cool stuff for you.

Android user here. Received the surprise update with Hooray notice. I cannot gift the separators or floaty tubes from the gift menu; however, I did receive requests for both parts. Can't wait to build the Healthy Ice Cream Machine.
Can a moderator find out why we cant gift these new parts? Aren't we supposed to be able to do this? Because there are 2 new decor items that also have new parts to them in order to build them...those new parts are also not in the gifting list! It will take forever to build several aplliances plus the new decor if we cant the parts as gifts too.....

I'm thinking that android got the Olympic stuff in bakery and maybe ios users ate going to get them in restaurant? I'm going by the person who said she had seen Restaurant story- world games in the store but theN got removed ...... So what do you think?
I would like it better in restaurant since in bakery I would have to redo my decor if I design with these items

No one takes pleasure in someone else not getting something, until these attitudes creep in. Again, iOs and android players are not in battle with each other, but some people don't seem aware of that. You can't scream for fairness then rub it in when something else unfair happens, but in your favor. The Olympics are about competition yes but at the heart of it, it's about different people and different nations coming together to celebrate. (and THEN they try to demolish the competition, lol)

I'm checking other bakeries, trying to find out what the new oven looks like. Ha! I'm using an Acer Tablet (Android) and I received 2 requests for a separator and another item (can't remember what it was) and had no problem sending them. Well, didn't seem like there was any difficulty. Does the Healthy Ice Cream maker look like the others, except a different color? I don't have an empty slot yet to be able to see them myselt and 49 gems is too high.

I think its only right & fair if all story players get the world game update no matter what they play on! For both RS & BS! Because I will be upset if I don't get something like this in RS just because I got it in BS!

I don't think it was accident but or maybe it was lol.. But yeah I want the update in restaurant even if I don't get it in bakery it's okay with me.. As to the parts it's probably the same like the bread oven which we had to request materials and couldn't gift the unless they requested them... So I do t see nothing weird about not being able send them as gifts

I don't think it was accident but or maybe it was lol.. But yeah I want the update in restaurant even if I don't get it in bakery it's okay with me.. As to the parts it's probably the same like the bread oven which we had to request materials and couldn't gift the unless they requested them... So I do t see nothing weird about not being able send them as gifts
Oh...I never got the bread oven cuz I play on a kindle fire and we don't get any goals or special promos....like the google one!

So rereading DW's post, Bakery is the only game to get this update on Wednesday. On Thursday, the other games will receive an update... will it be the Olympics update? And will City Story get an update. And since Metro is new, will that get an update?

I am not 100% sure which games will be getting the new items on Thursday. I am trying to get a list, but CMs are now off.

I'm on an iPad and thought I must have imagined a neighbor sending me a floaty tube last night. I accepted it and then looked to see if I could gift the same to my neighbors. On bakery right? Try restarting your device to see if they show up. If not, try uninstalling the game and reinstall it.

The new items are very nice and price seems more reasonable than before, at least I can buy some of them by using coins instead of gems (my gems are all going for gem traps lol)
and hope that iOS can have the same updates in these 2 days as my mom feels so excited when she saw my updates at my android. XD

You can only receive back 20 of those requests each day. Sending so many at a time probably clogged up the request system. Send only 20 next time :)

Wow... Gym playground already changed from 100,000 coins to 28 gems. Just as I was thinking TL deserved kudos for offering an item the size of the carousel for coins. Glad I got it while it was still worth coins... I would be FURIOUS if I was one of of the people that didn't receive the update early... One thing to have to wait while others enjoy it, but to lose the opportunity to purchase items at the same cost as said group... Dreadful.

The gym playground is huge! I got it when it was coins and ended up selling it cuz it was too big and frankly I thought it was tacky! The gold statue is massive too.....not for me either. I'm done buying what I wanted from the Olympic theme....I'm not one to do my whole bakery in that theme...just a little section is fine with me. :)

Teamlava clearly stated that the only reason that Android got the updates first was because it was such a big update, that they had to do it parts. Imagine try to upload the new update, which has like 30+ items in it, to both platforms at the same time, while players are online. Teamlava isn't going to leave iOS users out.

My problems with the late updates are the prices. I already read some coins to gem changes. I don't think it's fair to get the updates for ios users with the gem prices only. The goals which have been referred to by android players are far more than the recent goals which involved downloading other TL games. There were several goals which were available to ios players which had decor, gems, appliances, recipes & coins & in farm, crops as rewards. Android players received the candy cane machine only after a big stink was created about it. They did not get the two recipes on that machine, but only received one. They have not received the other items, to my knowledge. So they have missed out on the coins from the sale or those recipes and the reaping of those crops. They didn't get to master the recipes or crops so didn't get the xp or gems.
That aside, though, yes comparing the early release of the olympics theme to androids with their not getting goals is like comparing apples and oranges. But then again how android players are treated and how ios players are treated really is like comparing common apples with champagne truffles! I suppose TL is trying to do better for its android players, though. But I digress.
DWF said earlier in the thread that ios players will start to access the olympic theme in bakery starting on Wednesday. The other games will get content updates on Thursday. He did not specify what time on Wednesday, but did say all the items will be made available to everyone this week.

My problems with the late updates are the prices. I already read some coins to gem changes. I don't think it's fair to get the updates for ios users with the gem prices only. Hope TL will be fair and give the opportunity for EVERYONE to purchase the same way. Unfortunately TL had prove how greedy they are. Just remember about the newest expansions. Some player could by them for 40 gems some for 160
I totally agree with you on this one. The only change I've noticed was offering the big gym set, which I originally bought for 100,000 coins. Now it's 28 gems. I know this won't make you feel any better, but I'd have told you to save your coins even it was still offered for coins. It's almost too big for anyone's bakery. But I know, it's just the fact that TeamLava would change the price before iOS users got a chance to get it.

It really doesn't matter to me now anyways as I am on GMT and I'm off to bed, so I'll be getting the update Thursday whatever happens.

I have this update on the kindle but not the iPad. And yes it's all those things listed on the one thread. Tons of stuff. There are also 3 cakes u can cook from the regular ovens.

I don't have an Android device, and, of course, have not received all those incredible items. I haven't nothing against Android players getting these things. It wasn't their decision. However, to
compare the goals on iOS with these items is like comparing apples and oranges. What were the latest goals on Bakery Story? In order to receive a couple of gems, we had to install
some TeamLava games (and play them!)...These games are cute, but installing other games should not be a requirement for playing this game. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't
think I would have installed these other games, had there not been that reward of a couple of gems. In any case, as I said, I am happy for those players that have received the new items,
because they look incredible. I just think it would be fair for all players to receive them. In the spirit of the Olympics, every player should have the same opportunities to complete their goals.
I hope iOS users will receive these Olympic-themed items.
I think you're right when you point out the comparison are apples and oranges, because they are. But I think you missed your own point when you wrote "what were the latest goals on Bakery?" That's the point, you received the latest goals while Android and KF have never received even one. But I digress, everyone will be able to have the World Game decorations. You just have to be patient. As the saying goes, patience is key, and at least you were aware of when you were getting these (by Thursday).

Hello and happy Wednesday. Thought a little cheer is needed in the forum world. I hate that people get so carried away on a game. This is my release from my coinless gemless real world. We should keep in mind the one you are being harsh to our fellow players. The player you are harsh to amy be the doctor/nurse or civil servant you may need one day. When I hear someone post "it isnt fair" I kringe. We are all human and should not judge by race religion or type of playing devise.
With all of that said. I am an android user (feel like I just stood up in a rehab meeting) :-P , I did get theitems from theupdate. However, I am able to respond to gift request but those gifts are not there forme to give unless someone requests them. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but no change. I am good either way jus curious as to if it will be in a later update.

As a matter of I'm in Cali so I've been on of many counting down. I came to the games late. I missed all other previous seasonal items, so I am really waiting (impatiently) ��.. My daughter has an android, I saw the update a couple days ago, so I been kind of moping around bcuz she won't let me decorate her bakery. Believe me I've begged and bribed but it's jus not that important to her.. Lol. I will go to bed tonight I'm sure still checking and rechecking my iPad for this update. I hope it's worth all the hype and fever we all seem to have!

I honestly wasn't sure. I found myself double timing between the two. It seemed like I checked every hour on the hour. But probably more frequent, I'm ashamed to say:). I just can't wait, be it tonight or tomorrow. I see so many items I missed before, I just want to be able to take part in an update.

There is a big time difference between Europe and California. I believe you range from anywhere between 6-8 hours ahead. So if Teamlava releases the update at 11:30 PST, it could range from 5:30-7:30pm before you receive your update.

Yeah but they release it at 11:30 am and you get it at the same time, but the time you're in will be 5:30-7:30 pm

Don't they release the updates at 11:00am PST because I get them at 2:00pm EST. I'm ahead of TL by three hours. So, it's more likely Europeans will get it starting at 7:00pm.

They start rolling out updates at 11am. I'm not sure if Bakery Story is up first. I usually don't receive mine until 2:30 EST.

Bakery is usually 3rd in the normal updates, Farm and Restaurant hit before. But this is a special update, that rule may not apply this time.

No its not just for andriod....everyone will get it...just android got it first. It will now probably roll out like normal updates. So maybe some will get it today and the rest on Tuesday like normal weekly updates? Who knows how TL will do it........

I just did a search from itunes on my ipad, for teamlava and it showed up . It took a little bit for it to show up for me.

This REALLY has to be a mistake, (I'm an iOS player) This game WAS made for iOS devices and was later added for Android. So i don't think it would make any sense for them to give it to Android first without it being a mistake. And if so, WE would have got it like 2 seconds later! Hopefully they fix it soon, because i have a family member who JUST showed me the stuff,

At first, it was an iOS game but since Farm Story was such a success they decided to branch out. That's the only thing I agree with the post. The other things is just ridiculous.
It's was the same thing with Temple Run.

It was released first to ios because it's easier to develop for that platform then android. It takes longer to develop for android because of all the different types of devices. That's why ios gets things released to them first. Because it's easier. Then they port to android. It has nothing to do with it being an "ios" game. This is straight from the developers.

The Olympics starts July 27 and it sends August 12.
The update will not take place in bakery story. It is a different app that you can get for free in the app store. You keep the same bakery, money, gems, friends, etc. The name of the app is Bakery Story: World Games

This is what TL has said would happen. Nothing about hunting it down. Also it says iOS should have it by now.
