Mastery Bar?

Is the little bar on the bottom of each recipe the "master" bar that shows your mastery of that recipe?

If so, is the number to the right of the bar, the mastery level you have reached (completed) or the mastery level you are working towards?

For instance, if I see a bar that is shaded half-way, and a number "2" to the right, would this indicate that I am half-way to reaching mastery level 2? or that I have completed mastery level 2 and am half-way to level 3?

Yes, that's the mastery bar. If its halfway and shows a 2, you are almost at a level 2 mastery (which earns a gem ;) ).

Thank you... I want to pick up a couple of gems quickly, so I'll go looking for those recipes that has me at almost level 2 or level 4. :)
