I was trying to get an eagle but got the scorpion instead which was good. Now trying for an eagle again. Hope I'm as lucky as I was to get the scorpion.

I got one on the third try...breeding now. Level 10 Air and Level 7 Fire. Took me 3 tries using different combinations of fire and air....and I got a Wizard in between! Maybe I should run to Vegas with the lucky streak! lol

No combination works faster. Anything involving fire and air has the same small % chance of resulting in a scorpion.

I got one by using Eagle and Atlantis while I was trying for Diamond. Got it on my third try. Then I got my diamond on my first attemp using that Scorpion and Atlantis. All of them are epic.

Uh, been trying to get the Scorpion dragon for a few weeks now, tried a few different combos, mainly Eagle and Firestorm, but all I seem to get is more Firestorm dragons, and 1 Eagle. I've sold over 15 Firestorm dragons.... Almost all my dragons are epic, any other tips??

PURE ELEMENTAL BREEDING,I don't breed with Element Hybrid,cause the chance have thing going wrong is rather high,and follow the element order to breed.

I can confirm that pairing two Firestorms works; just got a Scorpion on the first try! (The Firestorms I used are a level 4 and a level 5.)

Trying for a Scorpion Dragon since the Scorpion Quest was released in Dragon Story.

Many failed attempts, ending most often with Firestorm & Eagle. My first 2 weeks I did not track any real details.

6 Fire + 6 Air
Epic Fire + 6 Air
9 Fire + 8 Air

6 Firestorm + 4 Eagle*

7 Firestorm + 6 Firestorm*
Epic Fire + Epic Air*

Bred approx. 17 times
Sold approx: 10 Firestorms; 1 Eagle
Kept: 4 Firestorms & 3 Eagles

After my streak of bad luck, I started tracking my strategies in detail based on the Hybrid Pairs Breeding Chart found here:

Below is my strategy chart that was fairly simple to put together based on the above link. With the breeding info provided on the Hybrid Pairs chart I was able to gather my best odds of getting any or all of the dragons I needed based on the dragons I already had. I figured it was worth a shot since so many others are having trouble getting the scorpion too!

---Tracked hours because people are raging about the breeding times being changed, which I've not encountered. & I kept track of names simply because others seem to believe there is a connection, although I highly doubt it. I was told on Gameteep that the way breeding works is that our device sends a call to the game server that randomly spits out a new dragon based on color combo used. Ex: Red + Yellow = Firestorm 95%(common), Eagle 4%(rare), Scorpion 1%(Super Duper Rare)

The (*) signifies either a needed dragon or one I was happy to have:) Like the Wild, it's not super rare and I didn't need it for a quest but even as ugly as he is I like him!

In closing, the Scorpion Quest time has nearly run out and after 44 failed attempts, I'm left wanting a Scorpion. On a good note I did get familiar with a new strategy that I intend to continue to test out. It got me 2 of the 3 Genies I needed; 1 Wild (idk isn't it rare?!); 2 Eagles to add to my growing collection; 2 Mists (which I didn't have); and a ton of Firestorms! (Which get a bad wrap but are actually my favorites. Super cute as youngsters, and super bada$$ once they reach Epic status, plus if you keep them all they turn into real money makers:)

You should only be continuously breeding a pure air and pure fire dragon together (in either order or levels), to narrow down the possible outcomes to just 3.

I just wanted to get this off my chest and to merely express my opinion on this. I feel like I have wasted so much time trying to breed the Scorpion Dragon as a goal. Because the goal was limited time, my reward was nothing after it expired. I have bred and sold every egg that came as the result and wasted so much time that could have been spent trying to breed a diamond. I simply ask, please do not make any more limited time dragon breeding goals. Thanks.

Yes, that's what I was trying before I started tracking at all. Honestly I got bored and tired of failing with only 3 possible results. So my theory was if I'm going to continuously fail at the Scorpion, I'd rather have a chance of getting some of the other dragons while I'm at it. And I did, just not the scorpion:)

I have only one Air Dragon. & I think I've used up all it's luck getting Eagles and Fairy! That combo was used for me more than any other, at every level. The only I repeatedly tried back to back were 2 Epics Fire plus Air... After 5 I quit.

Thank you:) Ya know I think that is one combo I neglected to use. I bred Air "Wing" with so many Fires, etc. I remember thinking poor lil Wing needs a break!

Maybe I should breed another Air dragon, even though I prefer the hybrids. I've also seen people having luck with lower level breeding. So far 2 Epics has not worked for me at all.

I've also tried to keep the colors aligned while breeding... Ex: Scorpion is red (fire) on left, yellow (air) on right. More often than not if red is on left I get Firestorm and if yellow is on left I get eagle.

For 17 days I tries to breed a Scorpion using gold to speed things up on occasions, I tried every combo but mainly Fire & Air. It does seem that no matter how many attempts you make you are never going to get certain dragons! I can't see that it is all down to luck!

You make a good point. I agree, they shouldn't make something limited time that isn't a sure thing. Not everyone gets lucky. It is unfair.

I tried for the full week to breed that scorpion, and used gold a few times to speed up, but I only got a lot of firestorm dragons.
My two friends who play at the same time and are the same level both got the scorpion dragon.
This goal is horribly unfair, not fun, and frustrating.

Just bred another Athletic by accident with an Eagle and a Mist (low 5 or 6 levels can't recall) but I don't have a parakeet yet, haven't tried for one...

I tried all combinations of red and yellow and firestorms, and got 12 firestorms. Then I gave up on those colours.
I'd be happy with an Eagle Dragon but it seems it's just unobtainable. I'll try again later, it's probably just luck and precentages.

It may be just luck... But I get TONS of Eagles; unfortunately I sold a bunch before I realized how much $$$ they make per hour! Check my list, but even before I started tracking I noticed ---air on the left--- results in more Eagles. (Fire on left gave me more Firestorms, but I tried that more often bc Scorpions "red square" is located on the left)

Congrats! Who even cares about the 1500 food... It was awesome to start out thinking we'd get rewarded with 1500 Gold! (before it was changed to food) But now it's purely principalities! You got the Most Wanted Scorpion:) I don't even want a diamond at this point... Only a friggin Scorpion! Lol

I'm sorry to say for all of you Haninge trubble getting scorpion but i keep getting them like others get firestorm! No matter what i put on the breeding den, Only it contains red and yellow, i get ? scorpion. Think i have four of them in habitat right now and have sold ? ton of them for 100 coins! Yesterday ofcourse i got one more trying for Diamond using epic firestorm and lvl 6 serpent! It's still in eggform for two more hours....

That's what happens for me with Eagles! Tons of them, while others can't get one eagle. But I just got a Scorpion finally on the game for which I started this thread. I posted above that I'd gotten it but that was on my iPhone game. Today I hatched my first scorpion on my main (ipad) game and it only took a few months! But honestly I had quit trying and was attempting to breed a limited Pumpkin... Simple red and yellow got my scorpion. Can't imagine how long it'll take to get the Diamond;(

Yeah I'm happy I tried for the pumpkin and instead got a scorpion in one game and 2 Honeybees in the other, which I didn't have and had stopped breeding fire and air altogether because I was simply tired of it!

i hate seeing threads where players are trying so hard for dragons i have & got with little to no effort...& then i see some players have such luck getting the dragons i try so hard to get & still don't have! why, teamlava, why? :'( make breeding fair for all!
