My restaurant

Is it possible to close my restaurant? If so, how? Because when I am not able to watch my restaurant, I don't want the food to dissapear and the customers to get angry and leave.

You can place a floor object in front of the door - that will stop customers from coming in. However, blocking the door is not a designed game feature. By doing so, it can result in a quick sale, where everything is sold as soon as you open. Or, food can still sell at the normal pace, even with the door blocked.

The best suggestion would be to cook a lot of short term dishes (like French Toast), then when you will be leaving the game for a length of time, cook longer dishes.
