Donut Surprise

What on earth is it? :confused: There's a plate of them sitting on my counter and I have yet to determine what I'm serving my customers lol It looks like a cupcake with a little donut on top, yet while its cooking, the bottom part doesn't really look like cupcake holders.

To me it looks like a fried cupcake with a donut on top? That's what I always thought it was.
