WOW. I am a daily player for over a year. I am on level 96 very close to 97. I look foward to updates on Thursdays. I love new appliances and new recipes. I can't believe 42 gems for an aplliance. I am never disspaointed even when I dont like things but this week really dissapointed.

Just got the update. I have been playing this game for nearly 2 years, level 98, and have spent literally thousands on TL games. This is the first time I am not purchasing anything from an update - 70 gems for the dancers is excessive, and 42 for the juice machine is ridiculous.

Yep, a constructible appliance that costs gems, and if it's anything like the FS makeup counter it'll require 40 parts, needing 2 days minimum to complete requests, unless you want to pay even more gems to complete your juice machine immediately. The makeup counter is 36 gems, can only earn 8 gems back through mastery, wonder how many recipes are available in this juice machine?

I have a lot of gems that I have been hoarding & I was about to spend them but not for that. I'm sorry I understand that we have to pay for the work that you did but maybe next time offer a scaled down version of the same decor item at a lesser price. If Bakery's appliance is gems then we know this wasn't a mistake....U put too much faith in TL...they are greedy and will do anything to get people to purchase gems. But making an appliance for gems is like making flowers in Farm for gems....who is really going to buy them?

TL seems to keep to keep pushing the price threshold to see how high they can go before their players revolt. How many of us bought Tiki Ovens at $60,000 a pop? The previous high price was $30,000 for that fancy Babyback Rib Grill. (I only bought 3 of those, because buying more produced a net LOSS, rather than profit, from sales of ribs, unless you cooked past mastery of the recipe.) I haven't analyzed the profit margin for the Tiki Ovens. If anyone has, I'd like to know.

Note the price progression, from $10,000 for an Easy Appliance, to the present. TL is pushing the envelope to see how many people will tolerate the price increases.

I guess the Tiki Oven was popular, although I have not yet bought any.

This is my first post, as I was prompted to create a password for the forum out of disgust for the audacity of TL to interject this perversion to the precedence of coins and pargs for the appliances. Gems are to be for exotic and luxury items, not items as basic as a cooking appliance.

I have purchased and built at least 8 of every appliance released to this point, and mastered all recipies by those appliances. Mastering recipies in appliances that cost gems is outrageous, and not even redemptive of the gems necessary to purchase even one.

Same here. I apparently had 42 gems exactly, since my gems are now ZERO. I'd just emailed support to let them know my gems bugged after the update and got reset to zero....but now it turns out it was the stupid juice machine. I am very unhappy about this. Why in the world would an appliance cost gems?!? That's just dumb. You buy appliances to master the recipes and get gems, not to spend more gems than you'll ever recoup off of the recipes -- unless there's 21+ recipes on the stupid thing.

The gem cost had better be a bug, and they'd better refund my 42 gems.

WOW! I had to sign up for these forums to voice my frustration. I spent my gems on the juice machine to now see its 30,000 coins. I'm frustrated because so many of my neighbors are quitting and I will be lucky to even get my parts within the next 3 days! This game is getting to be more of a hassle then fun for most :( I hope I get a refund or I will be joining my 0 star neighbors with their doors closed. I can barely stay at 4 stars as it is. I really like this machine, it's very decorative and adds to the tropical feel of my restaurant and I really like the shapes of the glasses, great job TL. I hope TeamaLava adds more recipes to it, whoever said virgin Pina Colada was right on the money! I'm an adult and love Blue Hawaiians so maybe a virgin Blue Hawaiian(although the Ocean Blast from BS looks an awful lot like a Blue Hawaiian). I don't mind is recipes are similar, we need a blue drink lol Maybe they could add non alcoholic cocktails to it? Like raspberry mango, strawberry coconut and something with papaya or guava. I'm making myself thirsty lol.

I haaaaate when it does that and it drives me batty that I can't do anything about it. I purchased 2 rose sconces(10 gems each) to place on the wall behind my pretend bar, as I'm sure you know the sconces are also candlestick holders with lit candles, the problem is the juice machine covers half of the candle as if it's in front of it, not flushed to its side giving a 3D appearance of the candle in front of the sconce the way it should be positioned. It's only cosmetic and I do understand the designers are only human and probably work long hours and will miss details like that but...still lol it's like an itch you cannot scratch.

Lol, can't believe I missed The Great Juice Fiasco of 2012! Probably because all my appliances were tied up cooking ducks again so I didn't bother buying the new machines until the ducks were done. Good thing I didn't.

Its weird to see people thanking and praising TL instead of wishing thunder and lightning on them. :D

TL is refunding gems to players that spent gems buying this appliance, since it has been changed back to coins.
TL does not refund gems on accidental purchases.

It was their mistake, gem trap yet again - you should only thank them if you go double the gems back or got a perk. Customer service is not messing up the game by creating a gem trap machine, waiting to see if people complain, and then, make a decision on whether to reverse it.

Same here. I apparently had 42 gems exactly, since my gems are now ZERO. I'd just emailed support to let them know my gems bugged after the update and got reset to zero....but now it turns out it was the stupid juice machine. I am very unhappy about this. Why in the world would an appliance cost gems?!? That's just dumb. You buy appliances to master the recipes and get gems, not to spend more gems than you'll ever recoup off of the recipes -- unless there's 21+ recipes on the stupid thing.

The gem cost had better be a bug, and they'd better refund my 42 gems.

I've been playing TL games for over a year now and watched them get greedier and greedier. I'm tired of the completely random nature of how they treat their customers. Some get gem sales every week, others never get them. In their newer games, some people have one price for things, others have double or triple the cost.

Them not refunding my gems, while refunding other people's, is just the last straw for me. I've deleted all of the story games off my phone. I'm done with these people. Maybe some day they'll learn how to properly treat their customers.

Wow I can't believe it they should have refunded your gems.. Maybe if you pv Bp or dw they can look into it... Maybe the person who responded you is new

If you did it immediately, they may not have made the decision to refund at that time. They were their usual slow to react selves. The decision to refund may have come after your refusal. I'd try again, and give them the ticket # off the refusal if you have it.
