Claims of neighbors visiting

When I log on in RS and BS (maybe FS, but for some reason I haven't noticed) there is a quick screen saying that a neighbor (and one is named) and a number or other neighbors have visited but most of the time this is untue! The supposed neighbor that has visited is usually one who is inactive and I haven't deleted.... what is the point of this?

Thanks for the link, I have a hard time finding the topics I'm looking for when I search. It seems like this was reported but is still happening...what I don't like is that TL is making up the story that a nbr has visited when they haven't...if they want to prompt gifting, maybe they should link it with the actual news feed. It's annoying.
