Hello guys! Thought I would start this thread as an answer to everything breeding. Add your tips, share your problems, discuss new eggs, whatever. ;)

Please don't talk about anything else, like glitches or gold. Just breeding.

To start off here are the most basic breeding combinations:
Forest plus Fire: Life or Wild
Forest plus Air: Fairy or Fruitful
Fire plus Air: Firestorm or Eagle
Water plus Forest: Serpent, Atlantis or Island
Fire plus Water: Magic
Water plus air: Mist or Mindvolt or Seabreeze
Magic plus Forest: Poison
Magic plus Fire: Charm, Titan, Planet
Magic plus Air: Genie
Magic plus Water: Wizard or Coral
Island plus Firestorm: Any Hybrid including Diamond
Seabreeze plus Eagle: Any hybrid including Diamond (Best combo for diamond--use epics)

I just put a charm & coral to breed & it said it will be ready in 2 days. does anyone know what I will get? These dragons are so confusing to me. I know my colors & what colors make what but so far I can't even breed an eagle. :(

I put an island and firestorm dragon(10 lvl) to breed and i don't see any "breed" button. So I can't see how much time it will take.

Does anyone know about this?

Is this a sign of DIAMOND or just a bug?

This is a list of what I bred and got. I don't know if it's random what u get or if levels have anything to do with it but I'll post it anyways.

1. Water dragon L10 + Forest dragon L8 = Island dragon
2. Water dragon L10 + wild dragon L8 = wild dragon
3. Fairy dragon L7 + mist dragon L6 = fruitfull dragon
4. Air dragon L10 + mist dragon L6 = sea breeze dragon

Possible its a Titan also. They are 2 days also. Titan is 33 hours, Diamond is 44.

you can also tell by the gold needed to hatch as soon as you start the hatching process. each gold represents one hour of hatching time.

You know, I'm really worried that I'm cursed. I am currently breeding Frutiful #30 I have tride everything i can think of with no luck. Tomorrow I'm going to start stocking up on food to try breeding epics together.

I think lvl 4 dragosn work better,
because i got both wild and seabreeeze first try with level 4s,
but always got common ones when i try with a higher level! :p

Any advice for a Seabreeze? Tried most combos including Air/Water/Mist/Mindvolt and even Coral with different lvls, but still no Seabreeze :( Btw TL.. I think I have now reached my quota for Mist, I think 50 is enough. Please allow me to breed something else!!! Pretty Please!!!!

I think it is luck. I tried a level 10 fire with level 10 magic and got a charm. Then tried with a level 4 fire and level 4 magic and got................................ another charm, lol. I have sold so many of these darn dragons!!

For me, the Sea Breeze dragon (1) has been most difficult non diamond dragon to breed.... Mindvolts have been the most prolific (8)

I just got my 2nd Seabreeze from this combo; lv6 firestorm + lv6 Serpent while actually was hoping for a Diamond.

For me, the rarest non-Diamond dragon are Eagle and Atlantis --"

Legendary combo firestorm/island gives you everything, just a matter of time ;) patience is the key. (if course you can buy the key with money :P)

It has not been proven not to work ... I actually think the diamond only requires 4 different colors, it does not matter which ones. That said, the oldest combo proven to work many times is Firestorm + Island.

But if you already have the "old" rare hybrids (eagle, wild, fairy, mindvolt) then it may be smarter to drop one of the basic colors for purple and have a shot at any missing rare purple hybrids while ***ning for the diamond.

Above is completely my opinion, no refunds if it turns out wrong. Good luck :-)

Actually, red + blue= purple + yellow (Genie) + Red + green (Life) All colours are there, it might work. Just read on another thread Coral + Fairy = Diamond.

I'm not sure because I got an eagle first 2 tries with level 4 dragons. Can't really tell but I agree. 20 is way too many. People have had problems with islands too. :(

Yes, 50 is more than enough.
If you're trying to breed it for a diamond, I made a mistake there. I meant serpent. Other than that try first low level dragons, level 4 air with level 4 water (low levels and epic levels work best) and keep building up (then pair level 5s, level 6s, etc) until you reach epic. If you still don't have a seabreeze try firestorm and island, because level 7 firestorm and island got my friend her seabreeze. Hope it helps. I don't have a seabreeze but based on other dragons I've bred this should work.

I'm having pretty good luck with getting rares so far (I've only had the game for a few days)...got an Eagle on my first try with lv4 Fire x lv4 Air while just trying to get a Firestorm, a Fairy after only three attempts with lv7 Forest x lv5 Air, and now a wild on my first real attempt, with lv6 Fire x lv7 forest. Now I'm going for a Forestfire. :D

Wasn't really trying for anything. After "trying" for a fairy and getting about 8 billion fruitfuls, I gave up on trying and just throw random dragons into the breeder. I also got an eagle pretty quick into the game, but that's the only rare I have, I think.

On a side note, I hate fruitfuls. They're not cute or pretty, and I STILL don't have a fairy. I've tried all I can think of. That silly goal just sits there, incomplete, bothering the mess outta me. But I digress...

After 26 attempts on breeding for an Eagle I finally got one on my 27th try. Now after getting it I tried breeding a firestorm and an island and got another firestorm and now I just tried my eagle and a magic and got another firestorm. Can TL just **** the firestorm line for like a week?

I don't believe so, Atlantis + Charm has no Yellow element, so it couldn't give a Diamond...

I think they changed the odds on getting rare/ultra rare a week or so ago. I did a lot of speed breeding in the first few weeks I started the game, so I pretty much had a good feel of when I'd get a rare ( except my diamond, she was a nice surprise). Anyhow I believe it's all changed, I mean they change food, expansion etc, so why not the breeding outcomes. I used to be able to breed my diamond with say, an eagle.. And get an eagle, diamond with serpent equals serpent, and so on, can't do that now-

I just got my first seabreeze at my 10th breeding (nonstop back to back) when I bred epic life with epic Mindvolt. Might be an easier way out there, but I know of none. It seems like when I try for a certain breed I never get it and when I'm just breeding for the heck of it and without a care I get all the rares. Good luck!

I wanted to add to the thread , just some of my info.. Could differ from the rest.

If you breed a pure and a hybrid , chances are they will get a rare+ of the two colors used.
Perhaps it doesn't matter and you might have the same chance as 2 different color pures.. Just experiment and tell me what your results are when your trying for a specific dragon.. I have my results already and am satisfied with what I got so far at level 32.

Even though I've only just started breeding (I started playing DS... 1-2 days ago?), I've started making notes of which combinations I've tried.

So far, I've bred a Firestorm and two Fairys. Sadly, I've only just started taking tabs on which dragon I put on the left and which on the right, and what levels they were, but I'm now making note of those.

My combinations thus far, with levels in parentheses:
L: Fire (4/5) + R: Air (4/5) = Firestorm (I think that's what I did)
L: Air (5) + R: Forest (4) = Fairy (I think)
L: Air (5)+ R: Forest (4/5)= Fairy
L: Forest (5) + R: Air (5) = currently in the breeding pen

What I find amusing is that I'm trying for the common Fruitiful, and ended up getting two rare Fairys. Hence, I'm trying Forest + Air instead of Air + Forest. :P

I've read that your two dragons have to have the four elements (fire, air, forest, water; i.e. red, yellow, green, blue) between them to get a chance at breeding a Diamond Dragon.

No, you will get either a purple/green hybrid or a purple/yellow. There's only 3 colors in magic x fairy (magic counts as purple, not blue x red).

When you reach level 5 you can get something called a breeding den click on it and you can put 2 dragons over level 3 o get a chance to breed a super rare or rare or common dragons...

I got a question about breeding. How do you get Diamond Dragon or a Forest hybrid from breeding Seabreeze + Eagle as indicated in the first two posts?

Seabreeze is Air/Water and Eagle is Air/Fire. There is no Forest in it.

Was wondering if there's a typo there.

I have a question about breeding with magic dragons.

I just put a magic (purple) and Fairy (green/yellow) up to breed and the result is 10 hours.

Which when I looked that up is either a Fruitful (green/yellow) or Coral (blue/purple)

Now my question is this, both of those results has it where the colors come from only one parent, and not one from each parent. Is that normal?

But also, is it even possible for to pull a blue from the purple (magic) as well as purple? I know when you breed magic you are breeding purple, red or blue, but see how it's a little different? It's not like my result is red/blue, which is just splitting purple up. it's blue And purple...

Both Fruitful and Coral are common, so I can't really use that as a way to determine which one it is.

Help greatly appreciated.

You got a coral. Nothing splits, everything is how you see it. You can only take one element from each parent. Purple can't decide it's elements up

but if it can only take one element from each parent, how can it be coral, since Fairy is green/yellow and Coral is blue/purple? Yellow and green don't make up purple so nothing was taken from Fairy if this is the case. Otherwise if it's a Fruitful which is green/yellow, then both would have had to come from the Fairy and nothing from Magic, which means it can't be true that one has to come from each... But it definitely said 10 hours and those are the only two listed as 10 hours.

I wish this was logical and followed an actual pattern lol.

It is possible for her to get the 2 days breeding, so if you don't know something, don't be so rude about it. The result would probably be a Titan which reads as 2 days when it first start (but only is 32 hours) it pulled purple & red from the charms.

Yeah I agree with you... But ever since they have the update, the baby dragon can now pull colors from both or only one of the parents. My athletic x fairy breeding made me got another athletic and at least 4 more fairies...

Hey it's cool, don't have to apologize lol. It was going to be what it was going to be, i was just wanting to figure it out for curiosities sake.

but I wonder if now because of this update, you can breed a basic from two different basics? like, forest with fire gives you fire?

when you think about it, there Has to be some sort of formula, otherwise the game wouldn't be able to run, so unless the formula is that its "random every time no matter what two dragons you use" there HAS to be a way to chart this.

I feel like Team Lava would have many more paying customers or happy customers if they released a webpage where you can accurate enter in the parents and get a list of the potential babies along with the probabilities... like, when people know it's just statistics that are messing with them into not getting a diamond, it's less frustrating than thinking team lava just has their game rigged versus someone elses

I bred a diamond with a firestorm and island, although I've been told that serpent and firestorm works better.
I bred a quetzal on my twelfth try with diamond and forest.
I haven't yet been able to breed gold and crusader. The gold dragon absolutely hates me. Crusader dragon loathes me.

Take my advice on the diamond. Trust me, it works. Even if it takes a zillion tries although I got mine in my sixth try.

I think lvl 4 dragosn work better,
because i got both wild and seabreeeze first try with level 4s,
but always got common ones when i try with a higher level! :p

Not really caught up on whats happening or been posted on this thread (didn't feel like reading all 13 pages), but I breeded a forest dragon and fire dragon (at like level 4), and got a Life dragon. After a few tries I got a Wild dragon with the same two dragons. I breeded the fire dragon (just got it evolved a second time, so I think level 7?) and the air dragon I FINALLY got (level 4), and got firestorm! (They look cool when they're grown up) I think I did the forest (same as the fire dragon) and air dragon, or it was the wild (level 4 or 5, possibly six) and air, and I'm getting another firestorm next time I get on there to check them.

Quick question though- Everytime I try and breed the Life Dragon with something else, it always turns out to be another Life dragon. Did that happen to anyone else and if I breed it with a certain Dragon a few more times will I get another type of dragon? Thanks for helping!

You make it a bit more complicated than it is, because the order of the colors doesn't matter, blue/yellow is the same as yellow/blue

So the potential pairings for a blue/green x yellow/red are:

blue/green
yellow/red
blue/red
blue/yellow
yellow/green
red/green
purple
diamond/Infinity

so basically any dragon except diamond hybrid or a magic hybrid (or the light dragons in the new dawn version)

But you can get both colors from only one dragon, which makes it that much harder to narrow down the possibilities :/

How do I get the Wild???? Its the only one (besides the diamond) I just cant manage to get.

I got wild on my first try, I never knew it was rare. I got it when I played DS for the first time.
I used basic forest and fire.
You can usually get a rare dragon by using the basics. That's how I got Serpent, Athletic, and Seabreeze. I got them all on first try.
Remember, use commons and basics every so often.

Its ashame there is not an encompassing list of what was breed together to get what. If this game was correct in its breeding and accurate, simple mendelian inheritance and laws, and some rather detailed punnet squares could figure out exactly what need to be bred and the odd for each possible combination for the best odds. This is assuming that there is not genetic mutation or chromosomal abnormalities (but there cant be because the game wouldnt be fair.. there would be spontaneous abortions occuring while mating in some instances). Even epistatic gene transfer wouldnt effect the outcome once it was mapped out you could account for it. But one entry ( someone thought they bred together, when in actuality it was a different blue dragon)would destroy the entire list. Not to mention the new breeds that they add (well actually that could be considered the mutation.. especially with the clown dragon??? Hes ferocious.lol). That would leave even gregor mendel scratching his head. :o)

You only get one breeding den ever and the max farm limit is six. Don't remember which levels you get a new farm on.

To that i would say ( TL needs the option to discard the egg. And keep on breeding., waiting 20 hours for an egg to hatch becaus of a 3 hour mating and a subsequent 3 hour hatching for a life dragon. I would much rather throw it away or sell it). That makes that life dragon 26 hours. Lol. Naa no thanks. They have the option in other storys to just get rid of it and bake something else (bakery story or even to store a counter and lose the food). Wish i could store my breeding den the minute i saw a three hour wait. And then breed for 20 hours while waiting for an egg to hatch that will be another 18 hours or so.

I am very new to this. And i havent seen the answer anywhere yet. But when they say breed times on the chart that means the time it takes for the romantic candle light dinner between the two dragons, and then the same wait again once it reaches the egg correct?

I have the same question cant get a real answer. So far i heard infinity and infinity can get you a light dragon. But i theres no way i can get two infinitys. Id like to bred a light dragon, thats half the fun, but it is cheaper then moving a tree. So not a big deal.

Btw.. i bred a pumpkin first try. Cant seem to get anything else though. I didnt want a pumpkin my fiance did, i said i would try one time, and bang of course a pumpkin. Now i will have a dragon with its head shoved inside a pumpkin trotting around my island all year long.. suuuuper! At least it wasnt a firestorm. Also, different games will have different breeding statistics and so will tend to breed more of certain dragons. For example I never had a seabreeze, a parakeet or a Titan (fire+magic rare). But i had two planets (super rare), seven scorpions, over ten eagles and , oddly,only one honeybee. I also got two clowns while trying for seabreeze, and took me a long time to get my two familiars -.- mismoth was another nightmare to get, and I have yet to breed a wild dragon. Lol.

I accidentally bred water+magic instead of air+magic (this seems to happen to me a lot) and was all sad that I had to wait 12+12 hours for a coral, which I already had. I did a name-specific breeding experiment.

The first Water dragon I bred was default named Coral, & it was paired with Magic Merl. It yielded a Coral Dragon.

Luckily, I also had Niamat Water Dragon, so I put that & Magic Merl in the hopper and got the 22hour (I suspect wizard). These were my first 2 tries like this, but would be interested to hear if anyone has noticed that the names might affect breeding.

I have been trying and trying to breed for an Infinity <sigh> and have had no luck ... not even close! Infinity is usually at the bottom of a combo list. I use the breeding calculator. That's one dragon I really want!!! LOL

Pretty sure I have a witch dragon breeding. I used a lvl 9 magic dragon with a lvl 7 forest dragon...in that order. As the colours are green & purple, I was putting the forest dragon on the left initially. Was getting nowhere so switched the sides over :) Although apparently the sides they're on makes no difference. Worked for me though :)

Haha, I have a pumpkin (lvl 9) (Son of Ash (fire) and Apollo (Air)) and a pumpkin egg (Son of Jupiter (Fire storm) and Python (Island) on the nest. Also got a zombie evolving. I dont care much about the witch.

Errrr, no. You have to have a diamond in the mix. Crusader is a diamond/fire hybrid.

To start off here are the most basic breeding combinations:
Forest plus Fire: Life or Wild
Forest plus Air: Fairy or Fruitful
Fire plus Air: Firestorm or Eagle
Water plus Forest: Serpent, Atlantis or Island
Fire plus Water: Magic
Water plus air: Mist or Mindvolt or Seabreeze
Magic plus Forest: Poison
Magic plus Fire: Charm, Titan, Planet
Magic plus Air: Genie
Magic plus Water: Wizard or Coral
Island plus Firestorm: Any Hybrid including Diamond
Seabreeze plus Eagle: Any hybrid including Diamond (Best combo for diamond--use epics)

There is no best diamond combo as all diamond combos have the exact same chance. Dragon level does not effect breeding results.

Yep. Since there is no magic in the mix it can only be Serpent.

This is not true, it depends on what diamond you are trying to breed.(Infinity or G1 diamond) As of right now the are no confirmed combinations for an infinity that does not involve the magic element.(for non diamond owners) So if that is what you are breeding for it must be a part of the breeding to have a chance.
There is no best diamond combo as all diamond combos have the exact same chance. Dragon level does not effect breeding results.

No real way to increase your chances on that one. Switch it up and do firestorm scorpion or firestorm firestorm.

You just need the colors not the dragon. So, just breed Aurora with blue, purple, green colors.
For examples : coral and forest, poison and water, island and magic. I got Aurora with coral and forest ;)

It is a Titan. It shows as 2 days though. Check what it says.. It'll say 2 days in time.. But how much gold will it cost for you to speed it up. It costs 1 gold per hour. If it says 32... Then you got a titan
