If I move my farm from an ipod to an iphone will I lose neighbors, points, gems, inventory items or anything?

No it transfers your account... your progress is saved on TL's servers

When I installed Farm Story on the new device, I created a stormID. Can I still transfer the old account to the new device online, or do I need to email?

I believe you need to email.

As Pinkster said - you do need to e-mail. They can merge the two storm IDs or they can replace it with your old one. Unless you want to start from the beginning - send the e-mail.
